ESPN Thinks NFL is should return to 2k

Yeah, and further all he is seeking is the return of the series, not the changing of hands of the NFL and NFLPA rights to Take 2 at the expense of Madden.

I think everyone can agree with the sentiment Mr. Robinson offers, that competition is best for the consumer.

Maybe I should change the title then? I just thought it was interesting that his top ones he wanted returned had to do with competition, NFL 2k and EA baseball.

You don't need the NFL exclusive license to make a football game. Iv'e seen it done in F1 racing games. All the developer has to do is just make the game with all 32 teams without using the teams real name and players name. Then you give the end user tools to modify the game. For example NCAA football has no players name just numbers. But anyone can go online and search for a roster with real players name and download it. Same thing for the teams. Give us the tools to make changes and let the third party community or online forums make real team names and uniform. It's a win win saves the developers tons of money. One thing that bothers me is the NFL should be paying the developers not the other way around. Because that Madden NFL is advertising their brand for them. Just like product placement in movies and tv shows corporations pay the studios to have their product placed in them. So the NFLPA is just another product
