Q: What does from the ground up mean?
A: This will be a complete simulation of the ENTIRE 2018 Olympic games in chronological order using Robert Chiavini's quick play games. That means from the prelims all the way to the podium!
Q: How will updates occur?
A: As stated above, I will be doing this sim in chronological order starting with the first day of competition February 8th until the Closing Ceremony Sunday, February 25.

Q: I did not know there were Olympic sims out there?
A: I encourage you, if interested to check out Robert Chiavini's website, a quick google search of his name should get you there! The sim engine for each game is fantastic, each athlete rated true to life as the data comes from the athlete's real life results.
Q: Why the Olympics?
A: The Olympics are the pinnacle of global sport, pride and patriotism and now that I've found a fantastic sim engine, it's go time!
Q: Will you be changing rankings or schedules?
A: No, this will be an as-played replay.
Quick Facts about the 2018 Winter Olympics
- 92 Nations have an athlete representing them in Pyeongchang
- There will be 102 events over 15 disciplines and 7 sports
- 2,922 Athletes will be competing
- Four events will make their Olympic debut in 2018: "big air" snowboarding, mass start speed skating, mixed doubles curling, and mixed team alpine skiing
- The games will be played in 2 cities, Gangneung and Pyeongchang
- The Games will be officially opened by President of South Korea Moon Jae-in
- Russia has been suspended from the games (doping) but selected athletes have been allowed to compete neutrally under the special IOC designation of "Olympic Athletes from Russia" (OAR)
