Lot of folks thought our run as top dog may have been finished because of how the C Team finished in the World Cup last year. Now it’s time to put belt to *** this summer [emoji631][emoji631][emoji631]

It's sad how bad Canadian basketball has been historically. How does a country with an NBA team not even produce good enough players to qualify for the Olympics?

This is their first Olympics since 2000. Last time they competed there was still an FR Yugoslavia team and RJs dad was on the team.

The roster they have for the Olympics is one that anything less than getting a medal would be disappointing.

Look I don't fault the man [emoji23]. I remember when the conversation of Kyrie being half Aussie came up. That was quickly shut down [emoji23]. The only thing I didn't like about Joel joining the team is the entire France situation. The man got them to give him citizenship. Which is [emoji1787]. There are a lot of people out there waiting.

Embiid "feels" more American than most guys people would try and point this out for. I'm guessing since he played HS ball and college ball in the states, but he doesn't really feel like an international player to me. Similar to Hakeem and Duncan both playing for team USA. Ewing moved to the US in HS too, he's not considered international.

That's kinda why the Perk take for MVP felt a little out of nowhere to me too. Most the guys he was insinuating would vote for MVP because of that I felt like would most likely lean towards the more American player rather than a Serbian. Unless he literally believed voters were voting solely on tan-ness lol.

I've grown to respect the world a lot since the last tournament. I wouldn't sleep on any team right now.

I’d respect them if they would actually beat us in a tournament that matters and that hasn’t happened in 20 years lol

I’ll never forget how silly the outrage was over us not winning the World Cup and the amount of chest beating folks doing from being our C Team. Those other countries need to earn that respect from beating us when it matters.

I don’t mind the White selection. JB is “better” but he’s the mold of all the guys already on the team. I think you need a glue guy who is going to excel at his role if he’s only on the floor for 5-8 minutes. I wouldn’t have minded him making the team from the jump over Kawhi or Haliburton either for the same reason.

Only thing that looks ugly for JB is he now has 3 teammates on the team while he was their finals MVP. The optics of that look a little messed up, but basketball wise I think it makes sense. JB seems to believe it’s Nike. [emoji2371] no idea how true any of that is.
