Hopefully it will be a nice 10 degree January New England day next Sunday.

Colts and Chiefs have played some memorable and high scoring playoff games.

The huge comeback about 5 years ago and my favorite the one in 03 or 04 where there was only 1 punt in the game at Arrowhead.

You know a game that I've watched it like a million times. I might watch it again this week. Was Manning vs Holmes. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I know all the formations from both teams. Great game.

Not high scoring, but the Lin Elliot game in the 90s was pretty memorable. Another great Schottenheimer team that failed in the playoffs.

Current forecast calls for 3 to 5 inches of snow and a high of 30 degrees Sunday in Foxboro.

Knowing how shaky Brady's been at times this year I don't think that's going to be as much of an advantage for them. We'll see.

I hate that Indy and the Chiefs are playing each other. I like both teams and i'm rooting hard for Frank Reich. So I guess no matter who wins i'll be happy.

As for Chargers/Pats. A part of me says the Pats will find a way to win in Foxboro but I was impressed by Philip Rivers in the postgame yesterday. He specifically mentioned 2007. The guy has a major chip on his shoulder about that game because he wasn't fully healthy. Having that kind of motivation can do wonders for you. So maybe the Chargers can pull it off.

I am not worried about Brady. Belichick coaches better when he has to dump the golf visor in favor of winter attire. LOL.

I think Melvin Gordon, who was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, will feature heavily on Sunday.

Saw somewhere over the weekend Brady and Rivers combine to make the two oldest quarterbacks to ever start a playoff game in NFL history. Meaningless tidbit but one that brings me back to thinking about all the problems I have with how the Patriots roster is currently constructed.

Chargers have built a team around Rivers full of young talented skill position players on both sides of the ball, while the Patriots grow older and slower along with Brady in those areas with almost no depth behind the aging vets in place to take over.

I like the Chargers by a score of 34-17 on Sunday.

Rivers earned my respect after that 08 AFC Championship Game, playing on a Torn(IIRC, it was a partially torn ACL at the time)ACL. Not to mention, those were some good all around Chargers teams in the mid-late 00s that just couldn’t get over the hump.

Wouldn’t have an issue with either team winning but I wouldn’t mind seeing Rivers continue playing beyond this weekend.

Colts/Chiefs could be one of those crazy games where neither team punts the whole game and comes down to the last possession. I have Andy Reid finally getting over his playoff woes this time edging it out 31-28, because Mahomes gets the ball last but both QBs will play great.

And I'm with the crowd on Chargers/Pats. You hate to go against Belichick at Home in January.. but something about this Pats team feels different and it will feel like a passing of the torch game; as I just see Ingram, and Bosa not letting Brady get comfortable enough in the pocket to mount enough points to get past a very talented Chargers team.

Chargers / Chiefs rematch in Arrowhead for the AFC Championship.
