The stupid "feared" comment in defense of Rice always makes me want to go postal on someone.

I don't mind if you post his decade numbers and say that's why he was a Hall of Famer. I can at least understand a person's argument there.

But, you're right, every writer in his defense always talks about how during a decade he was the most feared hitter in baseball.

Soon we'll be reading about Eckstein being a Hall of Famer because of his grit.
