Florida State and USF Agree to Home-And-Home Series

Kudos to the 'Noles. They originally turned this down, I believe, but now they have agreed to play the Bulls at home on September 26th, 2009 and return the game at Raymond James in 2012.

USF now plays Miami and Florida State next year and Florida and Miami in 2010. I guess they're getting those games against the bigger Florida teams like they wanted.

I don't think so. I think 2015 is the year. I mean, they were going to do it in 2013, but that joke of a coach Fisher blew it for Bowden. Now that they've got Noel Mazzone, they'll be unstoppable next year (and if they aren't, it'll be the next year)

FSU continues to flex their scheduling might. The list of future non-conf opponents is staggering.

Yikes. That has to be the best OOC schedule in the NCAA. This year they played two FCS teams, but now they're going to have a tough road for the forseeable future.

The most impressive thing about the list is the 2nd tier:

                Air Force
                BYU
                Nevada

When you're rotating USF, VWU, Oklahoma, Florida on the schedule it takes some guts to go that high in the quality of your 2nd tier.

They had to play 2 because of teams backed out and FSU couldn't find any agreeable teams to come in for 1 game and not get any return trip from FSU.

I like our OOC schedule. Its a bit difficult based on todays teams, but who knows how good those teams will be in 2011 or 2012. Its a crap shoot.

I still think this home and home with USF wont bring anything good for FSU. Just my opinion.

You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......

To some degree it's a crap shoot but we have to be reasonable and understand that teams who schedule your Oklahomas, Ohio States and USCs kind of know that ain't gonna be an ice cream social.

It's called good faith. Some teams operate in it (example here is FSU). Others don't...and you know who you are!
