NBA 2K10 PC thread
Any word on the system requirements? I remember SimBaller said it wouldn't be much higher than 2K9's, and that the game would run better on low-end cards than 2K9.
Anyone seen the official system requirements? My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICTags: None -
Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
With 2K9
Comp 1:
E6300 dual core 1.86ghz
8800GT 512mb
2 gig ram
Windows XP
The game ran good on full, but a little bit of choppiness and small drops in framerate.
Comp 2:
AMD PII 720 x3 2.8ghz (with 4th core enabled)
4890 1GB
4gb ram
Windows 7
The game runs near flawless. Only time any bit of frame rate drop is that one camera angle showing the whole court on a free throw from the CPU. Otherwise it's perfect. I expect 2K10 to run perfect as well.
So is it confirmed that the release date will be the 6th of Oct for the PC version, or are we going to have to wait a few more weeks?
And how about gamepad support? With the 360 pad work perfect this time, or will we have issues again?
For some reason, 2K doesn't really like to talk about the PC version.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I got a laptop pretty much the same, with a bit slower processor. 2K9 runs well when I lower resolution a bit and lower the crowd quality. My Specs:

CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

I think this will still be enough though. I just tried Resident Evil 5 and Need for Speed shift - and both were running good at 1920*1080 at high settings. Maybe a small upgrade on Black Friday. I am getting nba2k10 for ps3 anyway.Comment

it works real well...only problem is that the turbo was set up on the right bumper rather than the R trigger...i had to adjust to it...i hope they mapped it out right this yearComment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I'm thinking of upgrading my video card from 8800gt to 4870.
however, im not sure if it will help my 2k9 (or 2k10) performance..
my cpu is an amd x2 5000 BE oc'd to 3.0ghz.
4gb ram
however, in 2k9, i can't play on very high quality (moving jerseys). the framerate really suffers compared to high quality , which runs quite smoothly.
i have a feeling it's more my cpu that is affecting the framerate than the video card?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
running a quad core with sli'd 512 8800GTs (not in sli mode though, using physx) and I think 3 gigs of ram
I hit 60 and stay there with all max so you guys might be wanting to look more at core updates.
Have any of you tried the settings edit that allows for better performance on multicore systems?
and I'm using a regular wired 360 controller.NBA 2K11 Community Site Mix
