Chattaway Dons # 89 in training camp

              Denver,COL
              September 20/2009

Avalanche top prospect Jamie Chattaway donned the number of his hockey inspiration in training camp: Mike Comrie.

"He has been my inspiration ever since he scored 30 goals back in 2001/2002, I've always seen him as a clutch player for any team although his production has decreased significantly, he can still pot a few" Stated Chattaway.

Av's training camp opened today with roster wide open ice skate, followed by a 75 lap sprint. The on-ice activities of the day were capped off with a 5-on-5 scrimmage. Chattaway was placed on a line with wingers George Parros and Milan Hejduk.

"Jamie has a lot of spunk from what I've seen so far today, his team won the scrimmage 9-4 and he lead the team in skating the 75 laps, he may just make the Av's final roster cut come september 31st" Head Coach Joe Sacco was heard saying to reporters.
