    Older gamers?

I'm a single mid thirties guy. I thought I would have been done with games a long time ago. I've pretty much played games off and on since I was like 6 years old. GEt bored come back. Went to school for computers and work in information technology. Got screwed over early thirties by this crazy girl from hell. Figured I'd be done with games building a family by now and stuff. But I get bored and this is what I do. I feel old and out of place these days though when it comes to games. I think a lot of games are kind of kiddy and nto that exciting. I really like the show and some sports games still though. I've noticed people here tend to be a bit older than other gaming sites.

What do some of you think is the best platform for more mature games? I have both 360 and ps3 right now. I've been playing mlb 2k and the show going back and forth. IT's harder to quit this stuff then it seems lol. I'm not exactly what you would quantify as your average gamer. I know a ton about computers but anyone else in my situation still playing games? I go on live and it's all kids and complete dredges of society lol. All due respect. Between work and games it's a bit much. I need to get outside more? most of my friends are married these days. I figured I'd be done with this stuff early 30's. Played through my 20's no big deal. Play sports and stuff. But getting old man. Not sure how I found myself still playing games at my age but it happens? ITs better than watching TV for entertainment? Anyone else in my situation or am I a complete odd duck at this point?

Is 28 too young to be included in this discussion?

I feel the same way you guys do though. I'll be gaming until my life reaches game over.

A wise man once told me, "do what you love and you will live longer". That's the great thing about life, there's no set way to live it. I love gaming.

35 and I play video games way too much but I love it.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

37 here, wife, 3 kids I'm very active with, a demanding carrer, bills, all that. I find a way to game everyday. I will say the Vita makes this much easier to task.

Don't underestimate the PC as a great avenue for games. The visuals and modding are awesome and you can get some dirt cheap games to get back into it. Just visit steampowered.com or Amazon.com. There are amazing sales all of the time.

I am in my mid 30's and still game when I can. While work and family have cut into my time significantly (maybe only 4 to 5 hours a week), I will game until I die or I physically can't anymore. It is part of the fabric of who I am.

I am 40 with two kids and play when I can. Sometimes I play more (Arkham City was one of those times) and other times less. It all balances out. I am lucky because my wife doesn't mind and sees it as a hobby.
