2K said that they didnt have time to put crew in the game but they made a whole new mode in MyTEAM. I think it came down to putting a new mode in that's gonna make them more money. Well thats just my opinion.

I agree that makes much more sense. I think Visual Concepts/2K was also trying to grab as many casual players/customers away from EA as possible this year. There seemed to be an awful lot of catering to the casual crowd this year - new and easier controls, guitar hero dunking in the all star game, bring in celebrities like jay-z, bieber, pauly d, MyTeam with the cards, shoe creator, etc.

Perspective Through Estimated (Guessed) Numbers:

I truly doubt more than 1 in 20 (5%) of people who bought 2K11 even tried Crew.

Out of the people who tried Crew, I seriously doubt more than 1 out of 5 people really liked it and continued to play.

That leaves us with a game mode that 1% of players cared about. Maybe my numbers are little off...but not by much. 2K has the numbers...if it was significant, there would be Crew, especially after 2 years. It's not significant...but they can't say that without alienating die-hard customers. People think they added MyTeam for money...maybe a little, but they could have just as easily monetized Crew. The real thing is MyTeam has a much broader appeal, compared to a niche like Crew.

If I could like this more than once, you can bet your life I would.

Im pretty sure the majority arent "anti crew" ....it just didnt make that big of a difference if crew was in the game or not. I know I didnt care either way.

google it or youtube it....people would take their my players and form a team of up to 5 and play each other

i haven't seen many rational responses. some guy below me just said 1% of people care about crew lol. i think there is something to be said about the fact that even in the end of july, you could get into a crew game in 2 seconds, any time of the day. it was a huge mode. people care about it more than legends and trading cards, deal with it. yea, i have to deal with it not being in the game, i'm aware.

I'm sorry...not trying to be derisive. I feel bad for the fans of Crew. I know there are a TON of you guys; the raw number is large. Ideally everybody could be happy, and it blows that Crew got the shaft two years in a row. Where you need perspective is to see that in the larger picture, the fans of Crew are a very small minority.

Here's a very serious question: If it's all about the money, and 2K could have as easily brought back Crew as have implemented MyTeam...why not allow the same purchasable upgrades for Crew as they plan(?) for MyTeam? Actually, I've seen Crew fans suggest DLC you could buy just to play Crew. If it's all about the money...and as you say more people are interested in Crew than trading cards, they would make a TON more that way, right? Hmmm...

My answer would be 2K has the numbers; they know exactly how many players played Crew. It hasn't been a high priority for a couple years for a reason. And it is about the money....you can make more money with a mode that more people will play.

i'm just not ready to take 2k's word again based of 2k12 so i'm just overly critical now. i really don't like when devs bs around. like with uncharted 3 we've been pushing to get more color options but they had some lame excuses like people wouldnt know who their teammates where when your teammates have green names and enemies have red.

im not even convinced they truly fixed my player like they claim

Based on what from 2k12? You say bs around, when they actually said nothing. But that's how EVERY game maker works. If they don't say it's there, then it's not there. But it seems you are set to see this in the most negative light and that's your prerogative. The only way you'll be convinced of anything is to see for yourself. So it's on you now. Crew wasn't ready. It's not coming. People can either deal with it and enjoy what really makes the game good, or not. It's that simple. But don't try to paint this as some huge lie or game at your expense.

Sure, 2k knows how many people played crew in 2k11, but what 2k doesn't know is how many people didn't buy 2k12 solely because there was no crew. The only reason that I played my player in 2k11 was that there was a reward, having a good player to compete with online. I, alone, have 2 friends that didn't buy 2k12 just because there was no crew. If I didn't have so much fun with offline quick matches and the occasional online h2h, I would do the same.

i played blacktop way more than crew anyway so I'm glad they brought that back and have improved it so we can finally invite friends and we DON'T have to worry about any hacked players !

1. 3v3 (you & 2 friends with no random ballhog on your team)
2. you can invite friends this time
3. you can't hack players cause its server based

I'm more than satisfied and the crew players should be lucky they can even do that. Crew wasn't even in 2k until 2k10 anyway so what did you love about 2k in the first place ? The only game mode that should get this much rage about being taken out is "Association" which has been in the game from the beginning imo.

You know what is nonsense? You and others like you crying about a mode that was broken and pretending like you're getting crapped on by a company that KNOWS that the mode would only HELP the bottomline. You'd have to be a friggin moron to believe that they didn't try to add something to the game that would help the game be more successful. Instead, you folks act like it's not there because... Well, hell, I doubt any of you can think of a valid reason why they would INTENTIONALLY just give the mode the middle finger knowing threads like this would be everywhere. Shoe creator is a casual feature? I doubt that.
