Esmil Rogers Tears Hamstring
Slew Of Roster Moves Across the Minors

Triple-A pitcher Esmil Rogers has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a torn hamstring, and is expected to miss the majority of the remainder of the season.

Rogers started the season with the big league club, but following the trade for left handed relief pitcher Kevin Siegrist from the St. Louis Cardinals, has found himself stuck in AAA.

Relief pitcher John Stilson has been promoted from Double-A New Hampshire to Triple-A Buffalo, where he will take Rogers' spot in the bullpen, and veteran relief pitcher Raul Valdez has been placed on outright assignment waivers.

Third baseman Mitch Nay was also promoted from High-A Dunedin to Double-A New Hampshire. Nay, a top 10 prospect for the Blue Jays, his .341 with 10 homers and 14 doubles in Dunedin before earning the call-up.

The Jays look to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers this afternoon, with Brandon Morrow squaring off against Derek Holland.
