good stuff nuno.
what gets me with the skill stuff in all games, and even if this does not happen you can't convince me, is I feel like the moves are co-dependent.
What I mean is, if you go into some sort of practice mode or fifa 1v1 since they removed practice (smh) you can do the tricks all alone. You think you are actually getting better at them! You are sort of, but here is where what gets me kicks in.
Once you get into the match now the skill move animation seems affected by the CPU defender. It becomes more of a push and pull.
I know I see skillers on youtube doing all sorts of crazy stuff so I see it can be done.
But when I get in a match and feel like I pulled off a move I am looking at the screen and see it delayed or changed based on what the defender is doing. I don't call this scripting. I just think it's the built in collision detection taking over and saying ok the attacker and defender are too close so in order to display this dribble animation we either have to null the user inputs and make the trick not happen or we need to give the trick but change where it occurs.
One plus in PES is that auto skill, luckily it does seem to choose what is needed situation-ally.
My fave move in PES is to take the ball towards either sideline, chest towards the line, then use a small LS nudge towards your goal line then quickly back towards the CPU goal line and RT.
It's just a simple shoulder feint and go, looks excellent in PES this year.
Side note : A head scratcher in fifa is this, ever see the CPU do any of the skill moves the user has? Me either. At least the CPU in PES pulls off and tries the same skill moves you do. Haven't seen a CPU roulette yet though.
