Ha...yeah I don't think I even realized they were in the game during my first go-around with this dynasty report. Once I saw them, I literally wrote them into the storyline, making black Georgia's new primary color and these uniforms their permanent look.

Yes sir...and as we have seen even as recently as last year, even these teams like Georgia that look so-so on paper can creep up on us if we don't bring our 'A' game!

This 6-3 263 pound running back of theirs, Chaz Cross, worries me a little, as does WR Bradley Walter and his 95 speed versus our slow secondary. If we don't start fast, we can find ourselves in some trouble.

Time to fire this one up!

Thanks brother. This class we're putting together could catapult Tulane back into national prominence. We have something special brewing, both in recruiting, and also possibly on-the-field.

Ha...yeah I didn't even know such a thing existed in this game before seeing that. It definitely felt like a 263-pound RB too. He broke a lot of tackles and plowed through guys; fortunately for us though, he didn't do it quite enough.

My older pics from back in the day were simply snapshots using a digital camera or later, my I-Phone. Nowadays, I use a device called the El Gato Capture Card, which I bought off Amazon. You connect it from your PC to your XBOX and it is extremely easy to use. Any dynasty reporter should have one IMO.

That said, I do like that the older game photos look old. It sort of adds a historical context to them and makes games played in the early years of the dynasty feel like old games when viewing old posts.

Game 3, Year 16 (2025 season): Georgia Bulldogs at #7 Tulane Green Wave

              NR 14 -- 1-2 (0-1)
              #7 42 -- 3-0 (2-0)

Redshirt sophomore QB Jimmy McBride celebrates his 14-yard third quarter touchdown run with senior TE Ronnie Parsons.

McBride, #7 Tulane takes the bite out of Bulldogs in 42-14 romp at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome | Redshirt sophomore quarterback accounts for 4 touchdowns as Green Wave improves to 3-0 | After Georgia takes early 7-0 lead, freshman Brady's second kickoff return touchdown this season ignites Wave | Big win sets up a matchup of 3-0 teams in next week's Battle for the Rag rivalry game versus LSU

New Orleans, LA -- For the fifth time in five tries under head coach D. Geezy, the Tulane Green Wave rolled past the Georgia Bulldogs by double digits, disposing of their SEC cross divisional foes 42-14 Saturday afternoon at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Wave, ranked 7th in the nation going into the game, got strong performances from all three phases, and redshirt sophomore QB Jimmy McBride was responsible for 4 touchdowns, leading his team to a 3-0 start to the 2025 campaign.

QB Jimmy McBride's 14-yard rushing touchdown to open the second half made the score 35-7 and was the third of four total touchdowns he accounted for on the day.

Georgia (1-2) would open the game by going on a 10-play 85-yard march that lasted over 3 minutes and included 3 third down conversions. Bulldogs redshirt junior QB Matt Ryan's 12-yard touchdown pass to junior WR Jeffrey Weber gave their team an early 7-0 lead.

And that would be just about the last good thing to happen for Georgia the rest of the way and immediately following Ryan's touchdown pass, Tulane would get on the board.

Green Wave true freshman WR Grant Brady, who came into the game already with one kickoff return touchdown this season, would notch his second by taking the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a game-tying score. Brady, fresh off of a 5-catch 126-yard performance in the Wave's last game, did not catch a single pass on offense this week, however his big special teams play got the scoring avalanche started for the Wave.

Later in the first, following a three and out by the Georgia offense, it wouldn't take long for the Tulane to take its first lead of the game. McBride's 70-yard touchdown hookup to a wide open Adam Lawson put the Wave on top and they'd never look back. Lawson, who blew by overmatched SS Melvin Graves easily on a fly route on the play, finished the afternoon with a season-high 5 receptions for 164 yards.

The game would start to get blown open late in the second quarter when FB J.J. Williams, who missed last week's game with a shoulder injury, finished off a 12-63-yard march that lasted 4:01 by plunging into the end zone from 1-yard out to make the score 21-7 with 2:09 to go in the half. And then later, McBride would throw his second touchdown of the day, this one to freshman RB Anthony Brown on a screen pass, which made the score 28-7 going into the halftime break.

Tulane senior DT Micah Harris continued his magnificent start to the 2025 season, finishing with 5 tackles and a sack. Harris has at least one sack in every game this season and currentnly leads the Wave with 4.
In the second half, it was more of the same as McBride would score on a 14-yard run to finish off the opening possession of the second half, making the score 35-7. Then, early in the fourth quarter, McBride's 5-yard touchdown pass to TE Ronnie Parsons with 6:09 remaining made the score 42-7 and essentially put the game away. McBride finished the game 14 of 25 for 281 yards with 3 touchdown passes and 1 rushing touchdown, along with no turnovers.

The Tulane defense also had a terrific performance after giving up the early touchdown, holding the Bulldogs to no points most of the remainder of the game until Ryan's late 76-yard pass to RB Eric Cowan in the game's closing moments. Despite giving up a handful of chunk plays and allowing monster 6-3 263 pound Bulldogs RB Chaz Cross to finish with 113 rushing yards, the unit got enough stops on third downs to keep the opposition in check. The Wave defense kept heavy pressure on Ryan throughout the game, finishing with 3 sacks, including a sack by budding star 5th year senior DT Micah Harris, who leads the team with 4 so far this season.

Tulane (3-0) will host LSU (3-0) next week at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the two schools' annual "Battle for the Rag" rivalry game. The Wave has defeated their rivals from down I-10 a whopping 8 straight times, including last season's 49-21 blowout at rain-soaked Tiger Stadium.

Notes: Green Wave RB Tony Tompkins finished the game with 8 carries for 67 yards along with 4 receptions for 65 yards. The team used the senior star all over the field, lining him up in the backfield as well as outside at WR and in the slot. With the game out of hand most of the second half however, Tompkins spent the majority of the game's final two quarters watching from the sideline...Wave head coach D. Geezy indicated after the game that sophomore RB Michael Brown Jr. (chest) will likely miss one more game due to his injury sustained in last week's 34-24 win versus Ohio St.

Tulane sophomore WR Adam Lawson was found wide open for a 70-yard touchdown that gave the Wave their first lead of the game at 14-7. Lawson finished with a season-high 5 receptions for 164 yards on the afternoon.

True freshman WR Grant Brady has been a bright spot on special teams in the early going of 2025 and this kickoff return touchdown, his second this season, tied the game up at 7-7 in the first quarter.

Junior DE T.J. Pearson and the Green Wave defense had issues with 6-3 263 pound Georgia RB Chaz Cross, who finished the game with 113 rushing yards on 20 carries.

FS Terrell Faulk has stepped up thus far in his new role as a starter, and here he broke up an early deep pass attempt to Bulldogs WR Thad Richard.

RB Tony Tompkins had a quiet day by his standards, but the Georgia defense still had their hands full. Tompkins finished the game with 132 yards from scrimmage.

True freshman RB Anthony Brown scored his first career touchdown on this 14-yard screen pass that made the score 28-7 just before halftime.

Head coach D. Geezy's desire to see Tompkins receive more passing targets paid dividends as the senior finished with 4 receptions for 65 yards, including this 35-yard grab on 2nd and 31 in which he tight-roped the sideline.

The Georgia offensive line struggled to protect QB Matt Ryan, and here, redshirt sophomore DE Mike Miller took advantage with this third quarter sack.

QB Jimmy McBride played his best game of this young season and completed multiple deep passes down field, including this one to WR Adam Lawson for a big gain in the second half.

Bulldogs junior WR Bradley Walter finished with only 2 receptions, but this fourth quarter one-handed grab turned heads.

DE T.J. Pearson (#44) joined in on the Green Wave sack party late and also finished the contest with 6 tackles.

Your around the nation post has Texas losing to Georgia rather than Georgia Tech. Not the score, but the summary recap at the top.

A very well-rounded offensive performance to go along with a dominant defensive game and another special teams TD. Couldn't have drawn it up any better if you wanted to! With LSU being on an 8-game losing streak to Tulane, it will be interesting if they are desperate to break the streak or just going to accept their fate as the Little Brother of Louisiana.

damn I love those Georgia uniforms. There's something about NCAA 13 that just looks more real than 14 for some reason...idk what it is. Awesome win though, HUGE game coming up against LSU. Good luck!

*edit, damn I totally forgot this is NCAA 11 not 13 lol. Even more impressive

Can't say much more about this win. This was about as complete of a win as they come and hopefully we can continue building momentum as we get closer to the gauntlet stretch.

I think it is safe to say that Tulane is the class of Louisiana football now. LSU is still good and still plays us close from time to time, but the tide has certainly turned in that rivalry.

Ha...yeah, this game still looks as beautiful as ever. I know I am missing out on a lot of good features, but NCAA '11 is by far my favorite. This capture device's HD quality also helps as far as the pics. Every once in a while, there's a moment where I notice the jaggies that don't exist when I see Geezy Jr. playing Madden on XBOX One, but for the most part, this game still looks pristine.

The Georgia uniforms are bada$$...as I mentioned before, they were so good that I basically wrote into the storyline that these are their permanent uniforms now. They went the 1990 Atlanta Falcons route and switched to black.

LSU has a good but young team, including a freshman QB we almost signed last year. Should be a good one.

LOL, yeah I was wondering if someone would pick up on the Matt Ryan thing. It happened organically too; I didn't have to change his number. I couldn't think of a way to tie the two players together though without going the cheesy, long lost brother route.

You may have also some familiarity with the jersey numbers of some of his supporting cast too.

Side note - Speaking of the Falcons, I just got back from Atlanta, watching my Saints get hosed by the officials, but I digress.

Erin Andrews of FOX Sports, who always seems to have the scoop on Tulane football again lately, reports that Tulane is set to host a total of 10 recruits for this weekend's game versus in-state arch-rival LSU. Among the group are 4-star Texas cornerbacks Justin Brantley and Jimmy West, who Andrews indicates are the top two players on Tulane's recruiting board, which she says head coach D. Geezy shared with her on the record in a private office interview. Brantley and West have each given soft verbal commitments to the University of Texas, however both will still make the trip to New Orleans and either could still be swayed if the visits go well.

See below for the full list of players set to visit New Orleans this weekend.

                                report courtesy Eve Jewell, TulaneInsider.com

Eve Jewell of TulaneInsider reports that New Jersey 4-star FS Jesse Burnette (6-1, 204, 4.32 40-time, #8 rated FS) has completed his visits with both Tulane and Ohio St. and is very close to committing to one of the two schools. Jewell says the competition between the Green Wave and the Buckeyes is very tight, and indicated it is a 50/50 shot for both schools.

The Pleasantville, New Jersey native runs a 4.32 40-yard dash and would add much-needed speed to the back end of the Green Wave secondary should he elect to take his talents to New Orleans.
