I just want these!! Please, SDS~~
I still like what you shared. The unbutton jerseys would be welcomed and we all want expansion, stadium creator, etc. Keep sharing ideas since we know this team does come to these boards.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

That's a screen/info i would like to be able to access with the touchpad. I have know idea what the TP is used for now but i am sure it was used to good effect in 14 but has been changed for some other purpose since.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Twitch Stream Starting Now - Presentation & Commentary
My favorite stream thus far! I love the player emotions and all the new camera angles and updated themes and music. Things like that always make the game feel new.
Pretty much happy with everything they showed off, I can't wait to play this game!
A few down notes, I didn't like how it sometimes showed the players' position on the OSD as they came to bat, and other times showed which side of the plate they bat from. It should always show position. Hope this is fixed.
I'm kind of bummed they don't have the blinking LED lights at Yankee Stadium for homeruns. Hope they can get that in next year. Also looks like Chad Green has a generic pitching motion. The guy was one of the best relievers in all of baseball last season. Maybe his motion hasn't been added in the game yet? Hopefully that is the case.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Twitch Stream Starting Now - Presentation & Commentary
Best stream by far so far for me but no shocking surprises but I expected that.
Good points!
1. Fog and Rain improvements!
2. New Camera views from around the stadiums!
3. Crowd improvements!
4. New gameplay animations really bring the game to life more then ever!
5. New Theme 2 presentation looks fantastic and I think it actually looks better then MLB Network theme! Hats off to SDS on that
6. All new presentation music!
7. Lots more player emotion!
8. Could just be my eyes but the grass and dirt do look improved with richer colors?
Bad Points!
1. Matty V still sounds like a stale no excitement video game voice instead of a real life voice!
2. New Home Run cameras look nice but should only be used for replays. And option to turn them off would be really nice!
3. Some miner annoyances with certain stat overlays that display wrong info in my opinion!
4. Looks like not many if at all any new kind of stat overlays shown during gameplay!
5. Looks like still no Pre and more importantly post game rapup show with voice over and cool overlay 2KSports style!
6. No Citizens Bank Park footage which has me worried again nothing major has been changed!
No "Major" complaints however things look to be shaping up very nice from what I have seen and should be a very nice upgrade over 17! It's definitely baby steps but I guess that is a good thing and is the way you build a gem of a game that MLB The Show is!I just hope I do not have to wait another 10 years or so to finally see all my wishes make it into the game
lol

I am definitely onboard with the open jersey and injury option references posted. However I feel that it cannot be implemented because it's probably violates some MLB uniform code. I would also like to see extra batting gloves in the pockets of batters in the box but it's probably a MLB uniform violation. But if open jersey's were implemented they would need some type of cloth physics mentioned in the uniform thread. But I guess it would look okay with the kind of current stale look but I would rather see cloth affected by the new atmosphere effects. Then I would be slightly more leaning towards okay "The Future Is Here" tag line.
Some dynamic injuries would be a welcome addition help differentiate players abilities and on the field! It still looks like every fielder can make all the same identical plays. I hoped ratings would impact this but I am not sold because I see the constant (accurate) jump throws from all infield position players present from MLB 17 both CPU and user controlled!
Not sure how much longer I can wait out for (dynamic) and personality based running animations, lead off, stealing etc. Currently every MLB player leads off and runs back to the bag the same exact way! Just makes the game feel and look so predictable and sucks the life out of one of the core fundamentals of baseball.
It was mentioned in a early stream that tons of new animations have been added but the base running one's remain the same based on what has been shown up until this point unfortunately. Tweak these even 60% and it will definitely change the look and feel of the way the game plays even if it just acts as a mask.
If I was given the option between tweaking the base running animations or having a interaction such as a high five for trail or lead runners when crossing the plate in a multi or single run scoring situation instead of walking back to the dugout like nothing happened! Man that's a tough one!
I would say home plate lead and trail runner interactions that are not home run related! Oh the pain LOL!Proud member of the 0.04%Comment

Umbrellas at sporting or any crowd events with tiered seating are some of the most selfish things you can do there, lol. Bring a poncho and stop blocking other's enjoyment/view of the game.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 02-23-2018, 01:46 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Agreed! And in some stadiums you can sit under the upper deck to stay dry if need be!Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: MLB The Show 18 Twitch Stream Starting Now - Presentation & Commentary
That would be huge for visual immersion.
Maybe PS5 (for more memory bandwidth) for the uni's being completely separate than the player model, due to how much they pump into the atmosphere and stadiums already, compared to other sports games that need not worry so much with the crowd/stadium viewpoints like baseball deals with.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 02-23-2018, 01:50 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

On TV they just show fans. The fans don't know they're on TV. Just do that.Comment

We are talking about a video game the dev deliberately created these scenes. If they are going to do so I was suggesting instead of using the dancing, show real scenarios. Like for real the fans don't know they are on TV? You don't say..Comment

Just watching now as I try to plow through some Friday afternoon work, and I really like the crowd reaction enhancements and attendance logic. Hopefully the crowd noise falls in line as well.Comment
