Are we nearing the end of MLB The Show?

Im just on here looking to see what people's opinions are-

I myself bought a Playstation for MLB The Show and for no other game. But for me the game the past few years has become stale.
Im a Franchise only player and now with No Online Franchise, Still No Create A Stadium or Relocation and Ridin Rosters not coming out til mid Summer I dont know if this game is a must have anymore!

Just curious to hear some feedback!
    Cheers!

It's still a must have for me personally. The carryover save feature allows me to stay engrossed in my virtual franchise without having to start over, and be able to enjoy that franchise with the upgrades to gameplay, presentation, and franchise with each new installment.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Maybe you’re nearing the end of playing the game, but the title itself is nowhere near in trouble. Just because it doesn’t feature modes or settings that interest you or I doesn’t mean the game will cease to exist.

In the exact same boat. Might cash in some Amazon credit to get the game at some point, but it's no longer worthy of spending my own money on until franchise gets overhauled. Doesn't mean the game is nearing the end, of course, but for my preferences, I'm nearing the point of letting go.

I do see trouble ahead for sports games that have gambled too heavily on their UT/DD modes, but the Show has done probably enough with it's actual gameplay so far that they should be able to steer away from the crash when it happens by investing in other modes, using the solid gameplay they've developed.

I still like the game. However, not much changes Y-O-Y. I still don't understand why live rosters aren't added to Franchise Mode.

The end of the show? No.

The end of the franchise mode sports gamer? Maybe.

Funny how a player of a certain mode thinks. No major upgrades to their mode and the end of the whole game itself is probably close.

Re: Are we nearing the end of MLB The Show?

No where near the end. I am a franchise mostly player and I am still getting it this year. I wish there was more improvement in franchise this year but this is not the end for this game at all. It is still very popular and sells quite well. I don't know the numbers. Plus gameplay is improved every year.

While the franchise improvements are minimal, on the field play will keep this game selling year in and year out.

Some people are going to be done and that is up to them to decide how they spend their money. This is my last sports game I am buying. Then I will own shortly the 19 in the title games as my last set of sports games. This is a personal thing as a whole and not reflective on this game dying out.

This game is extremely stale. Still no create a team outside of Dd? Yawn. You should be able to update live rosters while keeping your created roster. All they care about is dd so I'm done. Rtts has literally not changed since 2006. Wow.

Not for me. The Show is still a must have title. I'm a die hard franchise player in all my sports games and The Show and NBA2K are the standard for me. I know I'll play them until the next iteration. Like 2K, I feel like The Show has peaked this gen both graphically and feature wise. There's nothing wrong with that. The current product is A+, imo. I'm not expecting any major mode changing features until the next gen. I'm happy to just continue along and enjoy the ride until then.
