It's more of a "the rule applies to everything" kind of thing. We have asked some people to change their signatures, so it's only fair to say the same about avatars.

That's a fair enough point. While I don't agree 100% about avatars being covered in this edict i'll live with it since what's good for the goose (sigs) is good for the gander (avvys)
