Re: Topspin 2K25 Impressions Thread
I didn’t buy the more expensive version, so I have a few more days to wait, but the early reports are it’s a good game. It does sound like they didn’t use a player sharing feature though, which is a big letdown. Hopefully we could create some of our own players locally for career mode, but I guess I don’t do that in the golf games and that works okay.

Re: Topspin 2K25 Impressions Thread
I’ve only just tested around yesterday for a bit, but my initial impressions are good. Definitely plays a lot like TopSpin 4, but some of the legacy animation issues that would occasionally pop up seem to be mostly fixed.
Customization is pretty decent as well, although it would be nice if they have a created player share to add to the tour. Graphics aren’t great, but also aren’t terrible either. Seems like an upscale version of TS4.
So far it’s definitely better than any of the current gen tennis offerings and I’m happy with it, but will do a lot more playing and testing.Comment

No player sharing and no adding created players into the tour hurts the longevity for sure.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). First impressions:
* I liked how you take control of Federer in a Wimbledon Final vs Murray to introduce the game
* graphics are still lacking but better than the early gameplay videos leading up to the game's release
* vintage Agassi not included in his base-game outfits, but instead is in the Center Court Pass
* Pro Shop reminds me a lot of PGA Tour 2K23's versionLast edited by jd@os; 04-23-2024, 03:56 PM.Comment

Re: Topspin 2K25 Impressions Thread
Definitely. Let us share created players, let us put multiple created players on the tour, and let us play a career as a professional.

Are you sure? I heard he is unlocked after leveling up to 5 or whatever it is?

Re: Topspin 2K25 Impressions Thread
One thing that always bothers me with tennis video games is not enough balls being hit into the net. I just saw a few videos and really didn't see any balls hit into the net. I hope that's not the case.Comment

It looks that way:
But I hope what you heard about “leveling up to 5” is true because that sounds quicker than getting to Tier 50. Did you hear / read it from a reputable source?

A.I. has been committing unforced errors: faults, double faults (not too many though), hitting it into the net and out of bounds have all occurred so far during gameplay.Comment

Somebody on Reddit said he unlocked after reaching level 5. On the 2k page it says it’s free.

IMO at least in online play the stamina meter will keep you in check or else it is hitting the netComment
