They're kind of shown here, and Support Team options, are too: https://youtu.be/gIik2U9MKuU?si=NErFAURWYhpaevYl&t=2864
Time to go back in then...

I really can't win any sets even at the beginning of my career mode with HARD difficulty. I'll switch to MEDIUM. The rating are so low on my player, i find it nearly impossible to even win 1 set. Do you feel the same?

I have played on Hard difficulty from the get go, and yes - I lost quite a few events at the start.

But as you keep doing training, leveling up your player, and adding coaches and such down the line, you'll eventually start winning and moving up in the rankings.

I'm now at the point I'm considering jumping up to Very Hard, as I am winning almost every match.

Speaking of, I started on medium and am finding it too easy, but cannot find any way to change the difficulty.
Am I just missing the setting somewhere or is there no way to change difficulty once you start a career?

In MyCareer main screen, press Y/Triangle to bring up the settings and it’s the first one.

Thanks, I guess you can't do it between rounds in a tournament.

Yeah i switched to medium and it became quite easy. I plan to win some games on medium, earn points, level up and get back to hard later on

The grind to level up is crazy. Level 6 only after first full year. I went 2-8 on the season (hard difficulty). The only guy I could beat was the guy who served and volley but had low stamina.

I like how with a coach and level 6 I feel myself in matches more now. I can win, but I have to make very few mistakes. For now I'm just playing one set, 3 games until I I can actually win a TS 250. Then play real tennis for more xp and vc.

I’ve played real tennis from the start and I actually preferred it for when my player was lower rated. Only reason I say that is that it allowed me to come back in matches if I had a bad start and I leveled up quicker.

I find that the games ebbs and flows work really well with the longer matches.

Also a tip is to use the XP and VC bonuses. I didn’t use them early on, but have been using them more recently to help level up.

                        Some more tips:

                        1) Use your player in Exhibition mode to complete daily/weekly/coach challenges
                        2) Level up your coach to level 4 (use exhibition mode to assist in this)
                        3) When upgrading coaches, you lose whatever skills they give you. So if I unlock a skill at level 3 that gives me an attribute, as soon as I upgrade to level 4, I lose that skill until I unlock it again in level 4

This is easily the most fun I’ve had with a tennis game since TS4. I just hope they keep this series alive and improve on it with having multiple courts for a venue and add in the CAP/shared CAP option for career mode to expand the roster.

Level 3...skills are available with Gold (lvl. 3) and Platinum (lvl. 4) coaches.

You can preview the skills/rewards the coaches offer at those levels by clicking the right thumbstick on them to cycle thru each level.

They gave such little care to the game that they have John McEnroe using a Head racquet and Andy Murray doesn't even have a hat, like c'mon 2K 😭

Not sure why Murray doesn’t have a hat, but McEnroe is signed with Head racquets now, hence why he’s using it in game.
