Re: MLB's Newest General Manager-The Career and Legacy of Robert Osmond

Tigers' GM Osmond Makes Statement Prior to Start of Spring Training

"Through the offseason trades we have made we have started our goal of getting younger. We replaced 2B Ian Kinsler who is 34 with Josh Harrison who is 29 and managed to acquire two more young players in return. We replaced LF Justin Uptown, 29, with Hyun Soo Kim, 29, and even managed to bolster our starting rotation and bullpen. Finally, who replaced J.D. Martinez who is scheduled to be a free agent following the 2017 and is 29 years old with Yasiel Puig who is 26 years old and has two years remaining on his contract. Our goal entering this past offseason was to replace our aging core with younger players and so far we have been able to do that. Depending on how this upcoming season plays out will determine who else gets moved prior to the July trade deadline"-Statement from Tigers' GM Robert Osmond

Re: MLB's Newest General Manager-The Career and Legacy of Robert Osmond

The Tigers are a very underrated Franchise team. They made it clear in the off season they need to shop players and get younger yet they have the talent to win now. Good luck!
