Good news: Nevada judge just ruled Floyd Mayweather Jr. won't have to start jail time until June 1 allowing him to fight on May 5.

Arum already said he has 4 options he is going to talk to Pacquiao about for his next fight, and none include Mayweather. I don't understand why people are dead set on May 5 for this fight. It's a Mexican holiday, chances are Mayweather fights a Mexican IF he even fights on that date; and the same goes for Pacquiao. If they fight each other it will be after their next fights.

I understand the want for them to fight but I think some of you are being unrealistic, expecting it to be their next fights.

People are dead set because the 4 options are horrible and we are tired of waiting. NOBODY wants to see him fight Peterson or Bradley. Most dont care to see him fight Marquez or Cotto again.

Mayweather will fight on May 5. No reason for him not too now that he wont be going to jail until June. There is no one legitimate left for them to fight (except maybe Mayweather v. Cotto)

Exactly! It's not like these two guys just came into the same weight class yesterday.
They've been dancing around each other for 3 years now!
Why not let it be their next fight?

I hear you. I think we all know now that Arum is the person who's blocking the fight.
And I'm very disappointed in Manny. He carries enough weight that he could easily tell Arum to make the fight and if he doesn't, he'll retire.

I'd be interested in watching a fight with Canelo, but I don't see DLH throwing this kid to the wolves right away.
Alverez would get schooled and it wouldn't be an entertaining bout. If Matt Hatton can survive against Saul, then there's no way he'll put Mayweather away.

ARGH! Manny, grow a pair and force Arum to get the fight done already!!!
