The Nevada commission just violated its rules by allowing 8-ounce gloves for a 154-pound fight. This proves two things:

1. Mayweather OWNS the Nevada commission. He is its de facto head.

2. This "fight" is more of a farce than ever.

I probably shouldn't have been but I was surprised that the "commission" agreed to that. Who got paid off?

Sadly, this probably sold a couple of more PPV buys for people who were on the fence as if the glove ounces will actually make a difference.

I believe 2 fights or so ago (I forget the opponent) in the post-match interview, Floyd said he hurt/broke his hand during the fight. Still coasted to a win.

I can't wait until this is all over.

The excuses are already being prepared.

It's still a PR ploy. Mayweather is trying to look like he's offering some advantages to McGregor, hoping to fool the public into thinking this will be a competitive fight.

So yes, this always has been a PR ploy. I guess I was naive to think the Nevada commission wouldn't fold and obey its rules.
