I was just going by what Scout had listed. Didn't have bama on the list for offers.

I think it's pretty obvious that neither Florida or UGA really wanted him.

I'm pretty sure they just offered him because they wanted to mess with Auburn

He actually did have an offer from Bammer...but it was just a fake offer. That's obviously the only reason he chose AU.

We are really getting some serious upgrades at the WR position lately.

Benton and Blake already, Richardson and Goodwin coming next year.

Nice to see a bunch of 4 star studs coming to the Plains.

And I'm sure we'll have some RB studs coming with them.

Re: 2009 Auburn Tigers Football

Expect Kenneth Carter and LaDarious Owens to commit to Auburn next week. Both are making announcements and both have AU has their clear leader.

Owens is an absolute beast. If Trovon Reed ends up being an Auburn Tiger, the LB and WR classes will be some of the best AU has signed in a long long long time.

Holland, Owens, White, Curry at LB. Kitchens, Richardson, Goodwin, and Reed.

It also looks like Baylor commit **** Safety Ahmad Dixon is going to seriously rethink his commitment to Baylor. Seastrunk and Reed apparently really got Dixon to take AU seriously and after visiting it looks like we've got a very good shot at him.

Michael Dyer is also expected to make his announcement by the end of August and again, Auburn is the clear leader.

If we could land these guys in the next couple of months, this class will really start to look nasty. But we need more O linemen.

Auburn grads make more money than the other state schools.

I called my grandparents on Sunday and that was about the first thing they told me, they were shocked they put that on the front of the paper. They said it's always slanted towards bama.

Birmingham sister, brother sentenced to prison for stealing $250,000 from Barber Dairy Co.

Quote:
A Birmingham woman told a judge Thursday that officials at Barber Dairy Co. allowed her to use a company credit card in exchange for steering her son to play football at the University of Alabama.
U.S. District Judge Scott Coogler dismissed the claim by Robin Lee Jones and sentenced her to four years in prison for stealing $250,000 from the company. Coogler sentenced Jones' brother, Robert Lee, to 23 months in prison.
Both are responsible for paying $256,963 in restitution and must serve three years' supervised release after their prison terms are served.
Jones worked for eight years at the dairy company and oversaw the company's Fuelman credit card system.
Each company driver has a card to make purchases for vehicle items such as fuel. Jones had no card for her personal use, the plea agreement said. The card was used to make diesel fuel purchases for RJ Trucking, company owned by Jones and Lee.
The card was also used for repairs on cars owned by Jones and her family, court records show.
Coogler said Jones' claim of an agreement between her and the company was out of bounds.
"If she isn't guilty, then she shouldn't have pleaded guilty," Coogler said, adding it was too late to re-open the case.
Jones' son, Dominic Lee, was a defensive tackle for Alabama from 2003 to 2006.
So $250,000 is the running price for 3 star defensive tackles up in Tuscaloser, I wonder what their past couple classes have cost 'em.

Re: 2009 Auburn Tigers Football

250,000 just doesn't pay for the quality of defensive tackle that it used to...
