What is going to go wrong with a rule where it's hard to consistently enforce already.

There are going to be times where we complain that a guy got a targeting 2 and probably shouldn't have, but at least this should help with a lot of the problems targeting brought with it.

Plays like this hopefully are called targeting 1 99% of the time and don't lead to dumb ejections.

I still think the rule would be better off not ejecting anyone the first go around, but if you get a second targeting in the game it acts like the rule currently does. It takes the inconsistency of judging intent out of the picture and doesn't remove a guy immediately for one questionable tackle.

Lincoln Riley signed his new contract.

Gets a raise from 4.8 to 6 million

And Oklahoma knows how bad the NFL wants him, so they included a stay bonus. Every year he stays at Oklahoma until 2023, he gets an extra 700K.

Missouri hit with a postseason ban for next season and will vacate some games. Kelly Bryant won’t be happy

The NCAA is awful. They literally have a system that rewards those that don't cooperate and punishes those that do cooperate the most. Mizzou is getting a terrible deal from this. They're going to appeal, but we know how the NCAA works. Between their decision with Miami's Hernandez and now this they are really on a roll with their bad decision making.

The infractions committee hit Mizzou hard with penalties even though its evidence indicated Kumar acted alone as a rouge tutor.

“We went ahead and interviewed a number of people at the institution and there was no evidence to corroborate or support the assertion she was pressured or compelled to do this by others,” said David Roberts, the committee’s chief hearing officer, who discussed the findings on a conference call Thursday.

“Missouri did the right thing and self-reported,” he added. “It acknowledged and accepted responsibility. …

What a ****ing joke.

Yeah it's terrible and depends on the school for what punishment is given. FSU got in trouble for an online music class that everyone took because it was easy and you can cheat while taking an online test. Then a tutor helped a couple of players.

UNC has a who department in a school and puts athletes there with no tests, etc so they can get a degree and stay eligible. Nothing happens to them.

Deondre Francois has been dismissed from FSU's football team. What a fall from grace this guy had, from the hype of beating Ole Miss in his first game as a redshirt freshman to this.

Should have been gone last season. Glad him and Murray are no longer around the team, they can go hang out more and talk about how great they are but no NFL teams will talk to them.
