Overall I like the youth system a lot better this year, the only thing I've noticed so far that is still messed up is attacking/defending mentalities are still wrong. My LW starlet has a low Attacking mentality and a medium defensive mentality, doesn't make much sense. Other than that it's much better that last year in terms of generating players and developing stats. I've even noticed that defenders tend to have less stars for weak foot/skill moves ratings however my brazilian CB has 4* for his weak foot and 3* for skill moves, not sure if that's because he's from Brazil so he's more likely to be technically skilled but I like it either way.

Can youth academy players have high or low attacking and defensive work rates and have alternative positions.

I started fifa 13 on the early release and i have just entered my 3rd season simmed sum towards the end of both seasons. My first imprestions on fifa 13 is it makes fifa 12 look crap haha and its really good. Now on to the players ive found first of all the best one i found is from a scout who i bought from the ea catalogue sent him out came back acouple of weeks later with one player jus turned 16 on the 3rd season now and in my team hes 74!! Only 16 aswell and 5 star skill moves his potential is 88-94. I found next 2 players 1 at barcalona and one madrid both 18 puljic and canete searched from them there not in there squads i couldnt buy them right away they had only had 1 year left on there contracts bought them in january canete was 79 and puljic was 76 bought them cheap as chips and half a season canete is on 82 and hes a beast gunna be over 90 for sure but only 1 star skill moves an puljic is 80 also very good 5 star skill moves. I started my third season then and there was a handfull of 17/18 year olds i got the ones over 69 no special ones like canete and puljic but they were all on the free market youngsters only had to pay wages . These words do the game jutice so far i think. The king is dead (fifa 12) long live the king (fifa 13)

I did notice the exploit from FIFA 12 is gone.

You used to be able to make two saves, sign your scouted players, then cut them from your team. After that you could go to the transfer market and search for 16 year old free agents of their nationality (even if they were 14 or 15 they'd show up as 16) and see what their position, skill, and transfer/wages sat at.

Back to the old fashioned way, but as a cash strapped club that sure was a nice cheat haha

I signed a 16 y/o LW i scouted with a 3 star scout with an overall 65 (now 73 after almost a season!!) with a potential of 86-94..... and 5 star skills and weak foot!!

nice has anyone else found any 5 star skill players with lower scouts ?
