Actually the PC crowd tends to on average be older and more mature than the console crowd. Granted there's cheats and hacks on any platform however.

Online! I don't think it would be too much of an issue re: cheating. The PC crowd is generally more mature and into modding for the benefit of the game rather than hacking.

Well, I don´t have any consoles anymore (my last console was N64) and I also don´t intend to buy it. Why should I? PC is much better in terms of hardware and software.

Anyway, my answer of your question:

In Sportgames I´m ONLY play the career-modus, which is 100% offline.

For the other video-game gernes, it depends on the titles. Most games offline, but some games also online.
