How good is this game?

Not a hockey guy at all. Haven't played since 13. Looking for a game to play seeing as Madden and 2k have gone to **** this year. I've heard that franchise is much improved, it was very dry in 13. Would this be worth a black Friday purchase?

I'm not a hockey guy either. But this game has made me. I can't put it down. I find myself playing one game of madden to 5-6 NHL.

Their franchise mode isn't as deep as The Show. But it works for me.

Agreed. You want a sports game to feel realistic, but to also be responsive. And I think NHL 17 has the best gameplay of all the sports games. It brings a realistic feel a la NBA 2k, but NHL 17 is better bc it actually feels responsive (which is what NBA 2k lacks).

NHL 17 is realistic and responsive. No other sports game achieves both.
