Week 2 Preview @ Detroit

Detroit - Two up, and coming teams in the NFC do battle as the Seahawks head to Detroit to take on the Lions. Detroit is looking to avoid an 0-2 start that could put a damper on their playoff aspirations, while Seattle looks to build on last weeks win over the LA Rams. They'll want to shore up the pass defense that got torched late last week in garbage time in order to do so. The game kicks off from Ford Field at 10am PST Sunday.

Hawks Defense Clamps Down in Second Half for 28-20 Victory

Detroit - After trailing at halftime thanks to a couple costly turnovers, the Seahawks defense clamped down in the second half, allowing just three points, and forcing a turnover of their own as Seattle moved to 2-0 with a 28-20 win on the road in Detroit. Zach Charbonnet, and Geno Smith both made errors in the first half that they corrected, as Charbonnet found the end zone for the first time in his Seahawks career, and Geno Smith hit D.K. Metcalf for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that would be the games final score. D.K. had a big day receiving overall with 141 yards and that TD on eight catches, while Kenneth Walker III continued to make fantasy owners happy with another two touchdown day on the ground. Seattle will now head back home to take on the Carolina Panthers next Sunday at Lumen Field.

Week 3 Preview vs. Carolina

Seattle - The Seattle Seahawks look for a 3-0 start when they face #1 pick Bryce Young, and the Carolina Panthers in a week 3 tilt. The Seahawks will also be honoring the 10-year anniversary of their 2013 Superbowl team when they don white jerseys at home for the first time in franchise history. The Seahawks are hoping to keep building towards getting back to that big stage, and a 3-0 start will do that. Meanwhile after a win in week 1, Bryce Young got a hard realization that NFL life wont be as easy as it was at Alabama with a humbling loss at home last week to the Saints. We will see how he responds against a defense that has given up some yards the first two games despite the 2-0 start. Kickoff is at 1:05 PST from Lumen Field this Sunday.

Kenneth Walker had 132 yards on the ground, while Geno Smith threw four touchdown passes. Three to D.K. Metcalf, and the Seahawks got up big before calling off the dogs in the fourth quarter. The Panthers only touchdown came in the final frame after Seattle took a huge 37-9 lead and installed their backups into the game. Seattle now has their best start since 2020 when they started 5-0. Seattle will look to push it to 4-0 when they take on the Giants Monday night in New York.

Seahawks Fall Apart in Fourth Quarter in Loss to Giants

East Rutherford - It was a rainy mess on Monday night at MetLife Stadium as the Seahawks and Giants both struggled to do much of anything with the football. In the end however it was the home team who made big plays down the stretch, and took home the 27-19 win. After a Kenneth Walker III touchdown broke the fourth quarter tie, the Seahawks looked prime for a 4-0 start, but Matt Breida matched him, and then some ripping off a 72 yard run of his own that gave New York a one point lead thanks to a missed extra point by Jason Myers. The Giants then came up with their second intercepion of the night off Geno Smith, who struggled all night with the conditions, and put the game away with a touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard in the final minute. The loss drops Seattle to 3-1 as they head into the early bye week.
