That's too bad. I think regression starts at 27 for some players. Kyle Singler regressed 4 points overall at 27. In the in-season training for players, having them at "natural" training, I noticed that, generally, the only attributes that go up are the tactical ones, while the other attributes in the other two categories start to go down. Same thing was happening with Brandon Jennings and he wasn't even 27 yet.

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Been talking with vtcrb and dropped the knowledge on me that there is definitely a difference with the way the game reads players that have their years pro set at 1.
So I decided to do some testing. A lot of testing actually and I have found a temporary fix. While it is still "work" it isn't as much work as manually editing every player or as tedious as changing the "year born" of certain players.
Immediately after the playoffs end (when the game gives you the option to do the draft lottery) go and change the "years pro" of players over 28 years old to 1. When this is done, some player regression still takes place but not nearly as rapid and ridiculous as it does naturally. What happens is that older players in their 30s still occasionally lose 1- 3 points and players 28 and 29 rarely lose any overall points at all.
THE GOOD:
Obviously, the good here is that you can get rid of the outrageous pattern of regression in as little as 15 minutes each season. It allows teams to still have players on their team in their 30s which is obviously more realistic that what we have right now.
THE BAD:
Although it doesnt eliminate the career stats of that player on their player card, moving into the following year, the game continues to recognize that player as a rookie. Because of that you won't truly have an accurate rookie of the year or all rookie team going forward. Of course you can take the extra time to change everyone back if you have the time or simply let it go if it doesnt bother you that much.
I can post here because I am on my phone but if someone wants me to send them the pictures from my phone, send me your email and I will send you the pictures so I can show you what I mean.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
nope. the game will react to the years pro being changed. one time, i accidentally changed MCW's years pro to 1 in the middle of the season and he ended up winning ROY twice in a rowComment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
It seems like changing the player's age, and avoiding reducing them to year 1 would be a similar time investment and avoid the rookie issue.
Obviously this is the original idea, and it still seems best in my opinion.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
To me, the players age change takes much more time. Due to the fact that it is represented by years as opposed to age, it makes it much more work than it needs to be. Of course, if someone is willing to that than I don't knock them but I only explored additional options because the age change was such a headache to meSimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

A lot of you fellas are better than me. I just don't have the time or patience for any of the workarounds. This really needs to get fixed ASAP.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
This essentially killed MyPlayer/Career and MyGM for me this year.
Imagine "hey Lebron and KD, let's make a big 3" "ok sure undrafted guy"
Then oops they are both close to 30 so they fall off a cliff.
I'm glad that I love in depth franchise modes so MyLeague works.
Aside from the regression issue, MyLeague is one of bright spots in gaming this year.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Agree with the poster above. Everything about MYLeague is amazing and this is one of the best franchise modes I have ever played.
With that said, this regression issue really kills the immersion and is a borderline mode killer. I hope 2K can fix this issue in 2K15..Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Player Regression in MYLeague Testing
Leftos is suppose to be back to work today. So hopefully he will stop by here today and give some word on this. Cause in my opinion, this regression issue is the only thing bringing MyLeague down. Aside from that, it is a really solid mode.Comment
