Re: The Career of Chris Thomas

Wasn't it in your BAP the Penguins acquired the first pick to draft you? Anyways, this may be on hold. My friend gave me a bunch of games today. :/ I'm just trying em all out first.

Because it's Tampa...remember this past offseason when they signed like 3,000 useless forwards??

Re: The Career of Chris Thomas

Preseason, Game 2

Strong Powerplay powers Sens over Habs

Scoring Summary:

First Period:
OTT Volchenkov (Thomas, Ruutu) PP 1-0 OTT

Second Period:
No Scoring

Third Period:
MTL Kovalev (Tanguay, Koivu) 1-1 TIE
OTT Heatley (Alfredsson, Kuba) PP 2-1 OTT
OTT Alfredsson (Fisher, Campoli) EN 3-1 OTT
OTT Alfredsson (Phillips, Spezza) EN 4-1 OTT

3 Stars:

1) Daniel Alfredson (OTT) 2g 1a
2) Dany Heatley (OTT) 1g 0a
3) Anton Volchenkov (OTT) 1g 0a

Chris Thomas perspective: I had another assist. This time I set up my linemate, Anton Volchenkov for a powerplay marker to put us up 1-0 in the first. I had a couple more chances, including narrowly missing my first goal by ringing the post. I was tripped to draw the 2nd penalty, on which Dany Heatley scored. Our powerplay unit went 2/2 on the night. The Montreal crowd was hostile. Especially when any of our top 3 guys (Spezza, Heatley, Alfredsson) names were announced.

Re: The Career of Chris Thomas

Bryan Murray called me when I was on my way home from our last preseason game. He said he would like me to come into his office tomorrow morning. I replied "sure thing, what time should I be there?". He then replied "7:45AM Sharp. Bring me a coffee would you?" I said Ok, and hung up.

The next morning

I got up at 6:15 AM, so that I would have time to stop at Tim Horton's on the way to the arena. When I got there, I realized Bryan Hadn't told me what he wanted in his coffee, so I just us both a large double double. I got to Mr. Murray's office at 7:40, and walked in to see him already wide awake, looking at his computer. He looked over when I shut the door and said "Oh, Hi Chris. You bring my coffee?" I replied "Yes, I wasn't sure what you wanted so its a double double." He then said he wanted black, but it was my first time so a mistake was allowed, he then continued - "Chris I called you here this morning because I have good news for you - We've been excited with your play through two games, so we are going to try you on the first pairing with Chris Phillips." I was stunned. I couldn't even thank Bryan. He then said that I should head over to the airport to travel to Boston.
