Looking through the notes and not seeing anything on penalties. How were penalties in the beta?

Almost nonexistent like usual

Similar to how they've been the last few years. You need to crank most of them up towards 100 to get them called at a realistic clip. Pushing Roughing the Passer up at all leads to some ridiculous calls. Still no defensive holding. Offsides and false starts still need work.

You can get a realistic amount of penalties in the game with sliders, it just won't be the most authentic penalty distribution.

Glad to see the WR contested catch tuning as well as a lessening of man defenders getting faked out so often.

Although I wish it didn't exist(that's never going to happen) It's good to see a lot a work done on the hit stick because it was not well implemented at all in the Beta.

It's also good to see tuning on FA resigning, player motivations and tags. If they aren't done well then everything falls apart in Franchise.

The whole article reads like Clint sticking to his guns. I like the feeling I'm getting from it, but we'll have to see what happens post-launch. I feel like our biggest fear on OS during the beta is that the game will get tuned for the YTers and comp crowd, and this article seems to say over and over again that they're not doing that.
I do worry that they weren’t as forceful on that. But hey, if it’s better than Madden 22 that’s a good thing.

This is why the Sliders need to be looked at re-evaluated by EA

Sliders would also help this doing game play

Play Awareness - Too easy to run the same plays over and over again

They need to install a CPU IQ Slider on both offense and defense

For me as a solo player, a slight tick down of the pass blocking slider will fix things if necessary.

One thing that will keep the pass rush solid even at default is the exponentially improved speed and pathfinding of free blitzers.
