That's what is so crazy. If it was done in 2005 by none other then EA themself, what is the hold up?

This is why it is soo friggin frustrating to me. This is why I say they either don't listen or don't care. How hard can it be? And don't act like they haven't been on OS forums and seen these threads pop up EVERY damn year. And we STILL don't get what we want.

its annoying

This has frustrated me for a decade too...I loved the fact that we could customize our camera views and play the game from a viewpoint that we chose based on the type of play and personal settings. I was frustrated that I could never *quite* replicate the ESPN Sky-cam from their telecasts to use as my default camera, but IIRC I was able to get a decent approximation of it for my in-game camera...

There were a lot of things over the years that have been in Madden (and to a lesser degree in NCAA before its demise) that have clearly shown EA's approach to the game is iterative and definitely NOT cumulative. Had they been building the game on top of all the previous features instead of knee-jerking around from one 3 year plan to the next, the game play and feature set of the series would be astounding...

There's a long list of features that were part of the franchise over the last 10-12 years that was around for one or two years and then eliminated, and it makes me a little sad to know that the outlines for an excellent overall game are there, but its like they keep getting the frame of a puzzle done only to have an entirely new puzzle dumped on top of the table every third or fourth year...

Re: Zoom Cam Discussions

I don't have too many good things to say about what I've seen of Madden 15 thus far, but the one thing that I am very impressed by is the new Zoom cam.

The angle to the ground, the amount it is zoomed in, and the amount that it zooms out are all great. It is definitely the best Madden camera angle I've ever seen and behaves a lot like the Custom cam that I would use in 2K5 and 2K8.

A true custom cam would obviously be the best case scenario, but as far as set camera angles go, they have hit a HR with this one IMO.
