Injury Rating

What is your guys opinion on injury rating in CFM? Do you upgrade it or leave it as is and how important do you think it is in regards to how often someone gets hurt?

Re: Injury Rating

Very important. There are approximately 3 injuries per game IRL. So if the goal is sim play, I think the injury slider should live somewhere between 65-75 or you make comparable roster adjustments.

No not the slider the actual rating that players have that you can upgrade on a player with XP. I have a rookie QB with about a 78 rating which is pretty low compared to other QB's but I am hesitant to upgrade it if it doesnt matter that much.

Off topic, I keep mine around 65 but have been thinking I want to up it to see more minor injuries.

Re: Injury Rating

It seems important to me. I have a RB (Ajayi) who has a low INJ rating and always gets injured. I also have Sam Bradford in my division and he gets knocked out of games a lot.

I usually don't upgrade the INJ rating for my players, I just get rid of them if they're hurt too much. The only exception I'd make is probably if I had a true 'Franchise QB' who has great skills and superstar development but his only downside is his INJ rating. This is probably the only case I'd ever upgrade that rating.

Alright thanks, I figured unless its someone I really want to stick with for both realism purposes (If your injury prone generally that doesnt change too much other than trying to not take hits) and also because it costs so much.

Re: Injury Rating

Yeah, and I'm trying to figure out how a dual threat QB who played full time since his rFR year in college and only got injured the end of his senior year for the first time and never was injured in like 4 seasons as a backup has only a mid 80s injury rating. I mean besides his going to a rival school of UCF, which has an intern program with Tiburon EA Sports.

You've made a point to mention this UCF/Tiburon thing in at least two different threads. I doubt they'd rate someone in favor of an intern. Let's drop that seeing as how the rest of your post is good as is.

Apologies for my confusion. Yes because my inj slider is high I upgrade everyone to mid 80s. Bryce petty is approx 78 and has missed a cumulative 6 games this season due to minor injuries that get him benched for a half or more. His toughness is 90 so he's never been injured for more than one week.
