Are you going to preorder Madden 18

I almost always pre-order, but I'm going with a wait-and-see approach this time. I like the direction they seem to be heading, but I'm hesitant about the switch to Frostbite. It probably is a much better engine, but I'm guessing there may be some growing pains with that switch in Year One.

I'm also, despite its faults, having a blast playing M17 still. And none of the improvements they've teased so far have sounded like they were worth $60.

I just grabbed a used copy of 17 for $15 on eBay. The last couple years Best Buy has offered $15-20 trade in and the reward certificate so I can get 18 for $25 if I choose.
I don't pay full price for madden. Only purchased new twice in 5 years. Got Madden 15 for $25 and Madden 25 for $5.99 on a lightning deal.

I'll be playing it several days early via EA Access, and have the game fully on day one. I am not sure what could possible convince me not to.

I guess if the EA access game is garbage, I might not buy it. But I loved Madden 17, and I'm expecting the Madden 18 to be close. It may have some growing pains with Frostbite being implemented, but I expect to be solid, at least.
