I cannot remember a more negative and less enthusiastic response to Madden hype at this stage in the cycle. We will see if that predictive of how the game is received or not.

That's because of the newer schedule this year. No footage or blogs until 3 weeks or so from this point moving forward.

There will be hype at that time.

The hype for MUT is strong on Twitter, though.

IMO, the biggest thing is the different play modes (Arcade/Competitive/Sim). IF it is truly taken advantage of by EA it can really solve a lot if issues going forward. For example things like QB accuracy, kicking difficulty, penalties, weather effects, dropped snaps, dropped passes, injuries, stamina, etc. can each be tuned to satisfy different crowds.

HOWEVER that is all a big unknown. For all of Madden's gameplay improvements, it has consistently failed to follow through on expanding newly implemented features (relocation, tuning updates, draft classes tuning, game flow, weapons [lol] etc.).

So for me, it just has to be a wait and see.

There still will be warping.

And they "might" finally get the wind arrow pointing the right way after, like, a decade.

2-1 odds my O-Line will still never get injured too.
So if penalties aren't ratings based why is there an a penalty trait discipline attribute? Is this a pointless rating to spend XP on that actually doesn't impact my team or the way they play?

I dont think it is.

Ive seen players commit more penalties because of traits. But they seem to be forced. Like normally a guy wouldnt PI a WR, but because hes got the trait it happens once a game or so.

I havent done extensive testing though, so I cant say for sure.

So perhaps that attribute impacts the dice roll determining if there will be a penalty on a given play?

You guys are aware that wind direction indicators are supposed to point in the direction the wind is coming from, right? I mean, you've either seen a weather vane or a news broadcast?

A northerly wind blows north to south. This is basic stuff, guys.

Surely now working on three game mode styles is spreading resource even thinner to ensure each style is correct to their respective communities requests?
