Reminds me of the time I wanted to just get done with a pitcher's at bat. It was 2 out, none on.

So I fast forwarded to next half inning.

The man hit a HR.

I imagined the game rolling in my RAM laughing at me.

My 2016 Mets won the WS, beating the Dodgers, Cubs and finally the Tigers in the playoffs. It took a tenth inning HR to beat the Tigers in Game Seven of the WS. I let Duda and Walker walk. I made very few moves to change the team otherwise.

I'll start posting updates in here by month, But first let me say I play every single game except spring training and I pitch on Hall Of fame and pat on All-Star. I am currently playing my 2015 carryover brewers team and the current season is august 27th of 2016. The first year I won 101 games and a first ever world series. Little update huge FA signing Jordan Zimmerman in 24 starts as a Brewer is 19-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 24 QS, he has thrown 8 CG and 6 SHO on 183.1 innings. he has allowed 127 hits 31 runs only 28 Earned, 10 HR 5 BB and 199 SO to generate a .72 WHIP. It's just amazing how awesome this guy is too pitch with!

ALDS Game 1- 2018

Royals win game 1, 2-1 and take a 1-0 series lead. Both starters pitched really well. Danny Duffy went 7 innings and allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9. Fister also went 7 innings but gave up 2 run on 5 hits and 3 walks. 1 of those runs was unearned thanks to a Tyler White error at 1st base in the 6th inning. He let a ball go between his legs allowing Perez to reach 1st and eventually be doubled home by Morales. Duffy had a couple high stress moments that he was able to work out of. In the 4th with a man on 1st and 3rd he struck out Moran and White. And in the 5th with a man on 1st and 2nd he struck out Kemp and got Correa to fly out to RF.

Pitching was as good as you would like it to be. Would have liked to see a bit more offense. But with it being 53 degrees and a 12 MPH win blowing from right to left at the K you cant expect much. We got the job done and move on to game #2. Yordano Ventura(12-4, 3.26) will go up against Lance McCullers(11-8, 4.52). Ventura didnt face the Astors in the regualr season. Lance Mcullers gave up 1 run in 7.1 IP in his first start against us. In the 2nd he gave up 4 runs in 5 innings.

Blue Jays beat the Angles 6-3 in game 1.

Dodgers and Mets split the first 2 games of their series 5-1 Dodgers and 5-3 Mets.

Cardinals and Marlins split the first 2 games of their series. 3-2 Cards and 7-3 Marlins.

ALDS Game 2 - 2018

Man what a crazy game that was. Pitching dominated the first half of the game. Ventura and McCullers had allowed 7 hits through he first 4 and a half innings. With the Astros up 2 in the bottom of the 5th. We put together 2 run on 4 hits a walk to tie the game up. Astros took the lead right back in the top of the 6th with 2 runs thanks to a double from Correa and single from Moran. Bottom of the 6th we brought it back to within 1 off a bases loaded single form Merrifield that probbaly would have been 2 runs if anyone other than Morales had been on 2nd. Didnt stay at 1 run for long though as Correa singled in a run in the tpt of the 7th to make 5-3. But on the 1st pitch in the bottom of the 7th Perez pulled back to within 1 again with a HR off the left field foul pole. And as you can guess by now the Astros answered right back in the 8th with back to back solo Hr from Castro and Tucker to make it 7-4. Mike Moustakas homered in the bottom of the 9th to make it 7-5 but we wouldnt be able to add any more. Colon and Mondesi both popped out to 1st with runners on 1st and 2nd to end the game. All together there were 10 runs and 22 runs in the last 4 and a half innings.

Our bullpen really let us down 3 runs. And the 2 solo shots Soria gave up were the difference makers. Need to bounce back and take game 3 in Houston. Dillon Gee(8-4, 3.08) will be on the mound against Dallas Keuchel(0-0, 2.57). Keuchel gave up 6 runs in 3.2 IP against us way back in the season opener. Gee gave up 3 runs in 2 innings out of the pen back in April and 5 runs in 4.2 IP back in August. So neither of them were very good. Hopefully Gee fairs a bit better this time around. We took 3 of 4 from the Astors in Houston this year.

Angles beat the Blue Jays 1-0 in 10 innings. Series is tied at 1.

Mets beat the Dodgers 3-1 and have a 2-1 series lead.

Cardinals beat the Marlins 6-3 and have a 2-1 series lead.

ALDS Game 3 - 2018

Things just did not go well here. Dillon Gee makes one mistake and his offense didnt even attempt to make up for it. He goes 7 innings. Gives up 2 hits and takes the loss thanks to a Jason Castro HR in the 2nd. We didnt fair much better than the Astros. Only 4 hits and non of them for extra bases. Had guys on 1st and 2nd with no outs in the 9th but Yates hit into a double play and Perez swung at a 2 strike slider before it got half way to the plate. Just a terrible game on the offense after a terrible game #2 for the pitching.

Now we head into game 4 down 1-2 with the season on the line. Jordan Lyles(15-5, 3.73) will take the mound against Colin McHugh (7-12, 4.26). Both those guys started against each other April and in August.McHugh was the better man in April going 6 innings with 2 ER. Lyles took the one in August going 6.2 innings allowing just 1 ER. McHugh made it through 6 allowing 3 runs with 2 earned.


Angles beat the Blue Jays 1-0 and take a 2-1 series lead.

Cardinals beat the Marlins 2-0 and win the series 3-1.

Mets beat the Dodgers 4-3 and win the series 3-1. Will face the Cardinals in the NLCS.

ALDS Game 4 - 2018

This is one weird *** series. Game 1 has 3 runs and 9 hits. Game 2 has 12 runs and 29 hits. Game 3 back to no offense with 1 run and 6 hits. And then this game. 19 runs on 32 hits. Yates had himself a game. 3 hits 2 of them home runs. Perez went 4 for 5. And Moose had a HR of this own while driving in 4. Cant remember a game where i had so many extra base hits. The ball was just flying all over the place. Jordan Lyles was lucky that McHugh was worse than he was. 5 runs in 4 innings. Should have pulled him earlier. Probably gonna start Minor in his place if we can make it to the ALCS.

Game 5 is back in KC. Danny Duffy(1-0, 1.29) back out against Doug Fister (0-1, 1.29). Gonna stick with this most recent lineup since obviously something about it worked. If we dont win it might be the toughest loss ive experienced. Losing game 7 of the WS with the tying run on 3rd hurt. But to win 101 games and not even make it past the ALDS....

Blue Jays beat the Angles 4-2. Tie the series up at 2. Game 5 is in Toronto.

ALDS Game 5 - 2018

Astros win the series 3-2. Will face the Blue Jays who beat the Angles 3-1. I dont know what else to say. Had no trouble getting people on base. But when we did we couldnt get them home. 101 wins and already out of the playoffs.

Off Season Look Ahead

Dillon Gee, Joakim Soria and Daniel Hudson are our only players up for free agency. We will look to resign Gee and Soria. Time to say good bye to Hudson though. Not to many needs for us. Probably look at a starter and maybe a BP arm to replace Hudson.

A lot of really good free agents this year. Adam Jones, Jose Iglesias, Brian Dozier, Yoenis Cespedes, Dallas Keuchel, Dexter Fowler, A.J. Pollock, Shelby Miller. And then there are the guys that may make this the best FA class of all time.

So I get to partake in the HR Derby as Miguel Sano is having an incredible season with 27 HR at the ASB. Round 1 I get paired up with Giancarlo Stanton who proceeds to hit 27 HR. I hit 17 which was respectable but damn...27? Stanton went on to win the derby.

Twins finally had a good showing at the All-Star game as well.

I'll post some stats this evening if I can. After seasons of 72-73-76 wins I'm on pace for 100. The big acquisitions in the off season were bullpen arm Jeurys Familia and the bats of Gerardo Parra/Justin Bour. The heart of my lineup is the best in baseball at the moment. Myers/Sano/Bour are going to combine for 130+ HR together (projected). My pitching staff has been pretty good but our offense is so damn good we just score runs in bunches and hit a bunch of HR. After having team averages in the .250's for years 1-3 my team is currently hitting .280 and #1 in the MLB. We lead in AVG/HR/Runs/SLG. I think my record is 63-37 at the moment which is best in baseball.

The Cardinals continue to struggle after the All-Star Break, with a record of 3-4. Hitting and pitching has both let down the Cardinals. Carlos Martinez who dominated the first half of the season, is 0-2 with a 6+ ERA after the break. The Cardinals also have no one hitting the cover off the ball in the 7 games since the break. In fact, everyone's average is on the decline. Hopefully things can turn around this weekend with 3 games against the Dodgers.


In other news...the Cardinals continue to mull over potential trades with Kolten Wong's name being at the top of the list. With the addition of Brock Holt and the expected move of Carpenter to 2nd Base next year to make room for up and comer Patrick Wisdom at 3B, Wong appears to be a man without a spot on the roster. The Cardinals continue to debate whether they want to make a trade with Wong now, or hang on to him for his defensive ability for the remainder of the year and then make a move in the offseason when the market for Wong may be more open.

Sano is ridiculous. That's the only word for him. It's crazy how fast he gets better from an already strong ratings profile. And against LHP? Forget it.

I'm surprised "The Phenom" didn't start the All-Star Game for the AL. Did he hit a bit of a slump? Last time I saw his stats, he was doing crazy good. Maybe everyone is jealous of this 19-year-old who might already be a top 5 pitcher in the game.

I'm actually in the next season. I've be nonstop playing this game. He's now 20 and I think 12-3 on the season. He's at a 89 OVR I think at 20. However, he's pretty much at his ceiling so I don't think he'll get any better ratings wise. I'm not sure how it'll play out. Will it be based purely on his stats? Will he bump up POT?

I doubt I ever get another rookie this good this fast so I'm enjoying his time.
