Real Shooting % or Shot Timing for 2k24?

I noted that with real shooting %, ur able to make shots that u can't do with shot timing, do u guys notice the same? But i feel like i am not like using my skill fully with real shooting %, that satisifcation that shot timing gives me is not there...

I would say the opposite. Shot timing allows you to make virtually anything, RS% is just a game of stat-o-matic in regards to whether a shot will go in.

And yeah, RS% "Should" make it feel like you're not utilizing all your skill, as the game is determining the outcomes of your possessions. Personally, I use RS% for the realistic numbers, as on shot timing there's nothing stopping me from taking the same guy down the court everytime and dropping a dime

I prefer real % when playing myNBA by myself but I do feel like I can never hit a contested shot. But I do prefer the fact that I feel like I am not doing anything extra to influence if a shot goes in

My son and I are playing a MyNBA with an expansion team and using shot timing. I miss all the time so we have for example Jru Holiday and Malcom Brogdon. Through 5 games they are both shooting below 25% because we can't get Holidays timing down and Brogdon's is totally different. i know that good shooters do still have an advantage with timing but its definitely tougher if you can't get the shot timing down.

I do understand wanting to be part of the process though and using shot timing. It's like in MLB I use meter pitching instead of classic because when i use classic I feel like I have no control.

Ive been real % for a while because of the reason you said.

But with some slider tweaks I can hit contested shots with timing.

Timing. With how I have the game playing now, there isn't a shot I can't make. Super contested very early shots go in, wide open late releases go in.

I haven't been a fan of Real FG ever since they took the feeling away from the shooting. Just pressing square and not worrying about the release even if it doesn't technically matter feels too robotic to me.

Usually I would prefer timing, but nowadays the shooting mechanics are completely broken with timing. There is too much of a gap between good and bad players. Good players can hit 70 % of their shots while bad players manage to hit only 20 % of their 3s.
Then, what I really dislike is, that ratings dont really matter that much anymore. When Ben Simmons is threat from deep while Tyrese Haliburton just sucks, this is not what I want.

So for the current iterations of the game I go with RealFG%.

What do you guys use for PNO games ??

2k22 had a being phase where everyone online used real player % because it was easier to shoot with.
