Hey - love the idea. Just wondering how you got the players from the draft class into teams so they can scrimmage and play in the rookie showcase?

It's a bit of a complicated process ... I simulate a season of MyGM (with the draft class selected) and then the next year, I trade all of the rookies I want on to two teams (in my case: the Bulls and Knicks).

So really it's not teams that I created myself, which you used to be able to do, but rather real teams filled with the fictional players.

If you want a guide on how to do it and what roster I used etc., just message me and I could explain it to you because it may take like 15 mins or so

He was a great shooter and was also bigger than everyone in high school. He walked onto the Louisville team as a freshman, and focused primarily on spot up shooting when practicing. By the end of his redshirt year, he was deemed worthy of a roster spot. He only saw garbage minutes as a redshirt freshman. As a redshirt sophomore, he saw some considerable minutes late in the season as a scoring threat off the bench and helped propel the Cards in the tournament. As a redshirt junior, he was awarded a scholarship by Coach Pitino and was the sixth man for the Cards, and he also graduated with his degree. As a (5th year redshirt senior) graduate student, he started for the Cards and was the team's leading scorer in U of L's tournament run.

New to OS so I can't send messages. I have a general idea of what to do, use the class, trade players for good picks, draft them, and trade all players on to one or two teams. Which picks do I trade for and what roster do I use?

Background: Was a player looking for his strengths for a while back in high school … thought he was a spot up shooter but it never really worked out for him. Because of this, he was cut from varsity up until his senior year where he shocked the schools athletic administration and turned in an extremely significant year that lead his Andrean 59ers to a memorable state championship run.

He left HS with some solid numbers on his resumé that consisted on 27.3 PPG complimented with 8.9 RPG… It was a surprise to the northwest Indiana locals to see that Rivers was not at all a big name in regards of recruiting. He had offers from a couple of local schools and at best, Dayton, down in Ohio.

Hayden continued testing his waters until near the deadline when Notre Dame slipped him a scholarship offer. It was a no brained for Hayden that ND was the best of his interest so he signed his LOI and committed.

COLLEGE
Freshmen Year - A rough freshmen year for Hayden Rivers and at this point you could see why no power conference teams were big on him out of HS… He didn't get too much action as a true freshmen and he ended the season ended for him only playing 16 [Out of 32] and tallying up a point average of 2.1. Hayden voiced his feelings on Twitter after the season, "Warmed the bench at ND a lot and that's not what I want to do for the next four years so I'm bound to be putting in some work this summer."

Sophomore Year - Nearly a revamped team after a lot of the seniors from last year glided into graduation, Hayden Rivers easily expected to find himself gelled somewhere higher on the depth chart. He did indeed as ND debuted at Chicago State and he saw 24 minutes of court time, in this game Rivers poured in 15 points to help ND win the 98-66 blowout win. Further after that game and long into the season Hayden Rivers found himself as a role player for the fighting Irish averaging 8.8 PPG in just 14.3 minutes a night.

Junior Year - A great year for both Hayden and the Fighting Irish as they finished with a deep tourney run that ended at Indianapolis when they lost to Gonzaga in the elite 8. Hayden finished the season averaging 17.6 points a night and also 6.3 rebounds. He would go on to enter his name into the 2016 NBA draft following the lost.
