How does the new Pro Steal system work?

What is the strategy behind it, what does dig/strip steal do and why would you use them over the right and left hand steals?

Lol nvm I figured it out. It's funny because I was actually doing it the right way but since my players weren't coming in after I exited the timeout I thought I was doing something wrong. I just realized it's probably a glitch so I guess I just have to do the platoon swaps during gameplay.
