So mad that they're doing nothing about this. One of the most fun parts of 2k is trying to predict the offseason, going through the draft and FA... now you just can't.

Also you can't even play the finals if you control the Cavs or Warriors, just so dumb.

I got it to work the other day. Click on the matchup, daily view, click X and make sure the user team is "green". Back out of that screen, select matchup and play game appears.

The same thing happened to me I just went through and played I'm 32 game's into the next season. I didn't feel like starting over again.

You can play the finals but after you get thru the finals you will enter the offseason where the players who should be free agents still have one year left on contract.
