Something to make coaching feel more challenging...

I've often heard that during the regular season coaches are much more focused on instilling their concepts as opposed to game planning for each opponent.

As it is now we can set an extensive gameplan for each team throughout the regular season. I think a lot of those should be reserved for the playoffs where you have more time to scout and the better coach you have (or you can tie it into high IQ players also), the more adjustments you're able to make.

I think we can flesh out the system proficiency and it should take time for a new coach to install his gameplan or core principles (some will be able to do this more quickly like Steve Kerr and coach bud). Then once the team becomes proficient they are able to work on other things.

Some coaches are better at making adjustments than others. Same could be said for teams that have been together for a long time.

That's what makes team like San Antonio and now golden state so dominate.

To add to that, it should take time to grow a play book. You should have to practice plays and become proficient at them before you can add more.

Maybe with good coaches it takes less time to become proficient and with coaches or low IQ players, it takes longer to nail plays and they arent able to add new plays.

Also...we need better out of timeout/out of bounds plays.

Re: NBA 2K20 wishlist thread

I just want to see more expansion cities added into MyLeague and MyGM. I think there should be at least one option in every state. I'm from Omaha, Ne so my city is already in there, but I think it would be cool to have the option of a team anywhere. I also think they should do more pre-made jerseys for expansion cities, they currently have seven (I think) but they should try to make more pre-made jerseys for other cities. Or multiple options for the same cities, and ones that make more sense. St. Louis Spirits would be a great team name.

They should improve search quality when searching for community made expansion teams. I'm tired of looking through trying to find ones that actually make sense for the city, and aren't ripping off some current team.

Re: NBA 2K20 wishlist thread

MyLeague court and uniform customization needs a major overhaul. It is been the same since 2K16. 2K needs to allow users to put images under the basket instead of text, adjust the center court image instead of being locked at a 1:1 ratio, and have the capability to put more images on the court. For instance, you cannot create a majority of the college courts because of limitations set by 2K. Plus, if a user wants to create a high school or college league, there should an option to change to one of those styles.

For uniforms, since Nike is the jersey provider for the NBA, I would like to see some Nike style fonts in the game. The number of fonts to choose from has gone down each year and in 2K19, some of the number fonts were glitched. You could not change the first outline color and only one font had more than one outline. When applying these numbers to the jersey, the numbers also looked dull when selecting a primary color. To fix this, 2K needs to add an RGB color slider or an HTML color code program to allow users to enter the precise team color instead of having to fidget around a color wheel. Plus, the jersey name font is tied to the number font. This should be separate.

Lastly, a feature is needed to automatically flip designs to the other side. Gran Turismo Sport has a cool feature that allows a user to duplicate a design on reverse and it would automatically adjust the design to the opposite side of the car. Implementing a similar tool would save designers a lot of time instead of having to write down the exact move, scale, and rotation values. With this feature, 2K should increase their image limit to 20 and allow users to add logos to collars. In all, this would give designers more flexibility and allow them to be more creative with jersey and court designs.
