can you be asked to go to a higher conference in this game like it is in NCAA Football?

I 100% agree that this would be great to see. If you take a small school & make them successful over a number of years, it'd really be nice rather than changing to bigger program, being able to move up to a mid-major conference, or from mid-major to major or major to power.

Obviously it shouldn't happen much at all but if you meet a bunch of criteria, would be nice, especially for the lower end schools to see the option.

after thinking about it for awhile i think back in the 06 version you could get invited into a different conference. i could of sworn i got Univ Texas-Arlington into the Pac-10 after a couple of years

I know you used to be able to in MM 05. I never liked it, though. Football programs are what usually propels a team to a better conference because it is the revenue-generating sport. Teams like Gonzaga have great basketball teams, but you don't see them joining the Pac-10.

Yeah, you could move up to better conferences in NCAA 09.
