Hey. Basically it is like this.
Before the season... you can target 25 prospects based on what you want.
Those 25 you targeted are the only ones you can contact during the season. So make sure you have a nice 25 selection that is what you need.
Then after the season is over there's like a 1 month window where you can sign anyone else quickly that didn't sign with you during the season... if you have any scholarships left.

Your 25 targets get turned into a "short list" once the season starts... and that is what you mess with during the season.
Anyone you go after in the "short list" during the season is considered a "target" when you sort them.
You can't spread yourself out too thin. Usually you'll have 1-4 scholarships to give out. You need to focus on a couple guys heavily to start and mix in another one as a fall back.
Recruiting isn't easy and getting 5 star players is tough unless you're a big school.
