Injury news already from training camp taken from the Official Dallas Cowboys website:

"The Cowboys were short two receivers by the end of Saturday’s practice when Cedrick Wilson suffered an apparent shoulder injury in seven-on-seven drills.

Wilson, a sixth-round pick in April, left the field with head athletic trainer Jim Maurer and did not return. The severity of the injury is uncertain."

Injuries suck but it's a blessing in disguise, put him on IR so we can't lose him until we shed some older WRs next offseason. He wasn't going to stick on our Practice Squad all year so this is the easiest way to protect him from getting snatched up without taking a spot on the roster.

I haven't heard still how serious the injury is to Wilson but he was impressive in what camp drills he was able to do up until the injury. I think if he's healthy enough by the time preseason starts then he will make the team roster myself. Coaches say Wilson is an impressive route runner & advanced at this skill for being a rookie.

Update: ESPN's Todd Archer has confirmed that Wilson will be placed on IR:

"Sixth round pick Cedrick Wilson will be moved to injured reserve ending his season before it could begin. He will eventually have surgery to correct a subluxation issue with his shoulder. The Cowboys signed Ricky Jeune, who worked out for the team early Tuesday."

From ESPN's Todd Archer:

"Randy Gregory has been officially activated off the non-football injury list but he will only go through walkthrough periods at this time. He worked with all three defensive units on Wednesday as Rod Marinelli looks to get him caught up after such a long absence. Charles Tapper was not at the walkthrough because he is sick."

Wonder even though he's been cleared now he's had to participate in an alcohol awareness program so does that qualify him for a suspension under NFL rules? My guess would be yes. Probably a 1 game suspension from the league.
