Re: MLB 2014 TOP 100 Prospects

I know there's a number, but how much time does a guy have to see in the Majors to not be considered a 'prospect' anymore. I noticed quite a few guys that I remember spending an extended amount of time in the bigs this past season, mainly Bogaerts and JBJ.

From the article:

To qualify for rookie status, a player must not have exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues or have accumulated more than 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club(s) during the 25-player-limit period, excluding time on the disabled list or in military service.

I can't wait to see Maikel Franco and Jesse Biddle suiting up for the Phillies. A lot of excitement for those two.

To me, Xander Bogaerts will be odds on favorite for ROY in the AL. In the NL, I'm hoping d'Arnoud from Mets. However, there's this beast in Pittsburgh by the name Polanco that I would bet on.

I'm repping my boy Xander to AL RoY! Man, it's like we haven't seen an MLB T5 prospect since... well... since I can remember!

If d'Arnoud can stay healthy (which is a huge concern) I could see him being a viable RoY candidate. Gregory Polanco is a beast as well, but I see a pitcher being the NL RoY. I like Archie Bradley, Noah Syndergaard, and Jameson Taillon (if he makes the OD Roster) as the winners.

Re: MLB 2014 TOP 100 Prospects

GARY SANCHEZ FOR ROY!!!

But it wouldn't be with the Yankees if it ever happened. They'll trade him for a 35 year old pitcher at some point. A really underrated prospect is Miguel Andujar (not top 100 but in general). Hit .323 in rookie ball last year at 17. Rookie ball can be deceiving, but its nice to look at for now.
