...that doesn't make any sense, nor is that what he was getting at. he would have been the size of a power forward with skills that surpassed all of the players of that time (and probably in history) as well as more athleticism than anyone could have contended with.

Can't really compare era's. The mentality of the players are different & the game is different. Jordan would have his issues though. Remember in the 50's & 60's, bridging a player in the air and elbow swinging were legitimate acts that were incouraged. Heck, fighting was not banned until the 1977 season. Wilt would have issue today because he would be playing against guy who were as physically imposing as him. FWIW, thay both did amazing things in there era.

Jordan would not have had the power to deal PF of that era thus he'd been a nobody .. Jordan didn't develop a post until after his first retirement..

I didn't say he would have played power forward, I said he'd have had the size of a power forward. As a guard he'd have been the third or fourth tallest person on the court.

The game was far more brutal then you think. Remember bridging a player in the air was a accepted practice until the mid 60's. The game was below the rim because because leaving your feet for a dunk was at your own peril. So those high flying dunks and uncontested baskets aren't gonna happen. If it lead to a fight, so what. Fighting was not outlawed until the 76-77 season. You cant apply any logic of the past 20 years to 50's or 60 's basketball. The game is made for fan entertainment now.
