Re: NFL Off Topic

I'm curious how the Wednesday game will work.

Playing Sunday and then playing again Wednesday seems like a stretch even for the NFL. But maybe not. Bye weeks are usually done by that point in the season, so it seems unlikely you'd have two teams coming off a bye. Guess you could have a couple of Saturday games and then have two teams from those games play on Wednesday. But back-to-back short weeks (Sunday-Saturday-Wednesday) would be rough.

There has to be a point out there somewhere where even the NFL becomes too oversaturated.

Re: NFL Off Topic

From what I’ve seen, it would only apply to teams playing on that Saturday. Basically no different than teams going from Sunday - Thursday.

Gonna have a lot of Football on all week though:

The tackle rule, well we’ll see once the season starts and how it’s called.

I agree

It'll be nice to see Kickoffs being apart of the NFL again after it was getting phased out. I still see some teams opting to continue to kick out the endzone. Maybe, the ball getting placed at the 30 might persuade them to do more kickoffs.

Far as tackling, teams are going to have to preach form tackling from behind. I do get the concern of a 180lb DB being the last line of defense trying to chase down a full head of steam Derrick Henry. I can see a lot of missed Tackles because guys are going to dive for the legs or try to tackle and twist

Re: NFL Off Topic

One interesting part I saw is that penalties on scoring plays can no longer be rolled over to the kickoff, they must be enforced on the try. So that means a lot more "Spotted on the 1" situations and hopefully more 2 pt attempts.

Dallas police seeking Chiefs WR Rashee Rice in connection with major accident, report says

Rice's alleged involvement in the crash still remains unclear

Police in Dallas are searching for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice over an investigation of a major accident that took place on Saturday evening, according to a report by The Dallas Morning News.

The outlet reported that a vehicle, which is believed to be registered or leased to Rice, was involved in a crash around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday.

Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman told The Dallas Morning News that the preliminary investigation determined a driver in a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver in a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane and both lost control of their vehicles. Two drivers were treated at the crash site for minor injures and two other people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, while police are still working to identify the suspects.

Rice's alleged involvement in the crash is unclear, but the police call sheet obtained by The Dallas Morning News listed him as the suspected driver of the Corvette.

Rice, a second-round pick by the Chiefs last year, had a standout rookie season as Patrick Mahomes' leading receiver behind Travis Kelce. He had 79 catches for 938 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns before setting an NFL rookie record with 26 postseason receptions during the Chiefs' Super Bowl run.

The 23-year-old Rice grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas, and attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) in University Park, a suburb of Dallas.

Cam Sutton has finally turned himself in. I'm glad this didn't end with him being found dead, even if he is a POS.
