Biggest mistake for McPhee is that he never got a #2C to play with Semin.

Also please re-sign Quincey for 4M per year Detroit
I have no problems with Semin, except his injury history. I'm sure we would get him to be in top form if he comes here.

Having said that, I'd rather bring up Nyquist and Tatar and staple them to the top 6 and see what they can do.

I wouldn't be surprised if Quincey asks for that much. If he wants that much, they should take him to arbitration.

Semin had 4 points in 14 playoff games. What a waste.

I know this is anathema to 21st century hockey thinking, but not everyone can (or should) be a two-way player. Semin is a superb talent; my problem with isn't that he doesn't play D or is a headcase; my problem with him is that he doesn't score enough. If I was Babcock, I'd tell Semin, "Your job is to be a sniper, period. Score 40-50 goals per season, and I won't care if you play D or not; Dats can handle that for you. But if you don't score at least 40, I'm going to make your life a living hell."

GEORGE: Students can't clean. It's anathema. (Jerry's confused) ..They don't like it.
JERRY: How long have you been waiting to squeeze that into a conversation?

Who were his linemates though? I can't remember, I think Semin is a guy that benefits a lot from playmaking center, which came to my conclusion of playing with Datsyuk = 40 goals for him. His wrist shot is a thing of a beauty.

In other news, Tim Thomas [REDACTED - TOS VIOLATION] [REDACTED - TOS VIOLATION]

Where does everyone think Thomas is going to end up? If he's serious about sitting out the season, it really puts the Bruins in a bind, as his 5M salary will still count against the cap. Wonder if they'd consider trading him to a team that will difficulty reaching the cap floor.

I think he's just saying he might sit out a year because his NTC ends July 1st and he doesn't want on a team like CBJ or something.
