I had it on, but the only Spanish I know is some terms relating to soccer so I didn't really notice.

LOL, this is seriously how ITV in England showed San Marino's formation:

As funny as it is, that's kinda classless. At least show some respect.

Finland held Spain to a 1-1 draw at home. That's a crazy result.

I saw that last night (not an England fan) and thought the same. The San Marino FA had a right go at ITV on their twitter as well.

It's especially annoying considering England isn't exactly Spain, pretty sure their chances of winning the next world cup are only marginally better than ours.

England seems to be under the impression that, if world soccer was the EPL, they would be Manchester United. The reality is that they would be Stoke City.

Watched the England game and they must have an issue with the 2nd half because they were lucky to come out with a point after the way they played. To be fair, they hit the post a couple of times in the 1st half, but practically the majority of the 2nd half was played in England' area.

Brahvacado's right - England are the Stoke of European qualifying. They should still get in, but they will be terrible again and get knocked out by a better team.

Watching England is like watching paint dry....I knew they'd be back to who we thought they were today. They will continue to be a mediocre power and until they start implementing changes in their grassroots, it will remain that way.

There's a reason why nations like Spain and Germany boast riches of young talent. Germany were in a similar spot after Euro 2000 and they evaluated their development and look at them now. Even Italy, after the 2010 WC, made changes although theirs was influenced by finances as the Serie A teams had to develop their players
