Another great Madden blog. I love the Qb drop back animation speed, looks so much better and realistic. Keep them coming Ian

Re: Madden NFL 10 blog 3/9/09 - 'Sim Style' Gameplay

I think I actually may be able to play/compete online again...lol

The effort to make the game more sim is music to my ears, because of the fast gameplay & exploit/glitch style of most online players I have not played much online in the last three to four years.

By slowing down the game speed, I'll be able to react to the play & have an impact on the outcome...instead of feeling like a bystander and not an active participant in the result of the play.

Thank you-

Man! Ian, Donnie and the Madden Crew have their act together this year. I like it!

Keep it up fellas. We love the transparency and flow of information.

football is a fast game, but not as fast as 09 had it, you cant play football going top speed all game, the only time you should be going full speed are:

1.) closing speed, to make a tackle
2.) running strait
3.)trying to run thru someone( offensive and defensive)

i'm sure there are some others, but my point is to slow down the game and make it fast in the right areas.

Love the info; you guys may think you aren't dropping bombs as for as info is concern, but IMO, that's exactly what you're doing. A lot of the videos you're showing, are reminding me of things I loved about the " other game". Things like the toning down the QB drop back speed, and toning down ball speed on bullet passes while having more of a difference between throwing power in a QB with elite arm and a QB with average arm strength.

I can't wait till you guys get to Oline/Dline interaction. It would be great if you could let the user swap LBs and safeties prior to the snap.

99% sure that it's an 09 screen shot, as there haven't been any officially released Madden 10 screens (if there were, there'd be much more fervor). The trajectory of Brady's pass looks straight out of 09 as well.
