The power & finesse game is there for sure. She's the next coming of Serena Williams although there's only ONE Serena. She will be the closest thing to her in women's tennis especially in American women's tennis.
her poise when Venus went into demolition mode was incredible

Re: Actual Tennis

This was an odd final for me to root for, first I struggled with Serena vs Vika, I'm typically a Serena fan and want to see her get 24, but Azarenka is putting up a crazy comeback tour and I wanna root for her, too.

Then, Serena loses, I'm bummed and happy at the same time. Vika then faces Osaka in the final, and I like Osaka, too!

Vika blasted through the first set, was up 2-0 in the 2nd, and I messaged my friend like wow she's really gonna do this...

eventually Osaka had more energy, Azarenka wore down (although she did put one final push in the 3rd set), and I'm somehow still happy, good for Osaka, she's a beast

Very happy Osaka won the US Open and appreciated all the different face masks she wore. Sad she won't be in French Open but understand she needs to rest up/heal.

Re: Actual Tennis

Madison Keys is playing some of her best tennis. She just steamrolled the #8 player and the #4 player without dropping a set. After a losing record in 2021, she already has as many wins in January as she had all of last year. Leads the WTA in aces, headed to the AO semis, she's absolutely mashing right now

yikes, Barty disposed of her pretty easily, she's playing out of her mind right now

Collins made it to the final but, yeesh, Barty looks unbeatable right now. I wanna root for the American, but it's also cool if Barty is the first Aussie woman to win the AO since 1978. Either way, I'm good, just hope for a competitive match, and with the way Barty is demolishing everyone so far... eek
